Services
The History of Bushell House. Bushell House has been running as a Charitable Trust to care for the elderly since 1743. Although originally founded by Dr William Bushell to provide support for local people it now takes people from all over the country, so they can be closer to their own families who live in the area.
All our 31 en-suite rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard, with beautiful views of the village and surrounding countryside. Residents are encouraged to bring in personal items such as pictures, ornaments and small pieces of furniture to create a homely feel and a sense of belonging and familiarity.
Our aim is to provide high quality care provision in a caring, warm, safe and homely environment. Our ethos is simple: to see all people as individuals, and treat each and every person with the dignity and respect that they deserve. We have established individual Care Plans for all residents, an essential protocol which is used by staff to ensure that the correct levels of care and support are provided.
May we convey our heartfelt thanks to you all for the marvellous contribution which you made to mums 100th Birthday celebration. No words can really express how grateful we are to have been included in the Bushell House community and to have experienced first hand the loving and thoughtful care which residents are fortunate to receive every day.
There are two large communal areas. The Library which has, audio equipment, and a computer with internet access. This room is popular in the morning when people gather to have a coffee, read the papers and have a chat. The spacious Drawing Room on the first floor is furnished with comfortable sofas and armchairs and has a large screen television.

Outstanding residential home with an atmosphere more like country house hotel than a home. Staff very caring and treat residents with respect. By far the best residential home I have seen
