Emma and Sean welcome you to Cragwood, a stunning four bedroom guesthouse in the Lake District market town of Keswick. Cragwood is a traditional three storey Lakeland stone house built circa 1894, with four beautifully decorated modern en-suite guest rooms. The two spacious king rooms 'Skiddaw' and 'Latrigg' are named after the spectacular mountains you'll see from the window.
The two double rooms are south facing; 'Walla Crag' has a view over the roof tops to Walla Crag and Maiden Moor and 'Catbells' has a yard view. The house is located in a quiet residential street in Keswick, just a few minutes' walk from the town centre where you'll find plenty of restaurants and bars, and ten minutes' walk from stunning Derwentwater lake.

Services
Cragwood has four comfortable modern bedrooms; two spacious rooms with king sized beds, sofa and mountain views, and two smaller doubles. All rooms have clean, modern en-suite bathrooms with hot showers, fluffy white towels and locally sourced toiletries. Tea and coffee making facilities, wifi and flat screen tv with a good choice of channels are found in all rooms.
Breakfast at Cragwood is generous and healthy, designed to set you up for a day on the fells or exploring Keswick and the surrounding villages. We source our ingredients locally wherever possible, with the season in mind.
Our homemade Cumberland sausage, dry cured bacon and Lancashire black pudding are from Keswick's own butchers, Thomasons; our free range eggs are from the happy chickens at Scales Farm in the nearby village of Embleton; milk is delivered in glass bottles by the milkman and fruit and vegetables are supplied by grocers in Penrith.

Cragwood is situated close to Keswick town centre and the local parks. On entering Keswick from either the A66 or A591, follow the signs towards the town centre. The main road into town is Penrith Road (which follows the River Greta) and after a short drive you will see the park on your right. Turn left on to Wordsworth Street and then right on to Blencathra Street.
You can check our availability and make your reservation here. If you have any problems please give us a call on 017687 73792 or use the online contact form. We have a minimum of a two night stay during normal times and three nights during bank holiday weekends and some local events. Single dates on the calendars below will return an unavailable message so please pick dates where two consecutive days are shown.

Stopped in the Walla Crag room and as the title says, it's been a perfect stay.
The room is spotless and what a comfy bed!
Although compact, it has everything you need and nothing is too much bother for Christine and John. And what a brilliant breakfast!! It totally sets you up for the day.
The toilet /shower room is immaculate with toiletries provided.
All in all, if you are considering stopping over in Keswick, then I totally recommend staying at Cragwood Guesthouse. I know we definitely will.
