Services
We have invested in the more advanced Automated Test Lane (ATL) rather than a standard MOT facility. Brake testers are able to operate and assess vehicle brakes automatically and to a visually prompted procedure. The results are used in conjunction with a weighing system to provide true, actual brake efficiency values.
A lot of MOT failures can be avoided by performing a few simple checks before coming to the test. Tyres should have 1.6mm or more tread depth across 75% of their width. You should also replace any tyres that are visibly damaged or deteriorated and check that the tyre pressure is correct.
TIP: If you don't have a tyre gauge to test the tread use the edge of a 20p coin - if the rim around the edge of the coin is smaller than the tread level you're OK!TIP: If lights flicker when you tap them, the bulbs probably need tightening up or replacing. Wiper blades need to be clean, intact and to not leave smears on the screen which will obscure the driver's view.

Altrincham MOT centre service all makes and models to manufacturers specification and warranties will not be invalidated, but schedules can be modified to suit a customer's own individual requirements. Regular car servicing can extend the life by identifying defects are found before they become catastrophic.

I always use Steve's garage for mine, my partner and my daughters cars whenever possible , and I live 20 miles away! Always a great job done, at a fair price.... And if the job costs less than Steve thought it would have done, he tells you so and you get charged less! How honest is that?!

An honest and friendly garage. Reasonably priced and provided additional recommendations. I will be using this garage for the long-term. All you need is a good, honest and fairly priced garage. Altrincham MOT Centre has not disappointed me. My last garage, which I used for 17 years, changed hands and the service provided declined immensely.
