Doodles Day Nursery aims to create a stimulating and educational environment to encourage each child's curiosity and willingness to learn. We believe that attitudes towards working with young children in day care facilities should be characterised by warmth, respect and encouragement of their individuality. Positive support of children's efforts and quick responses to their needs, provides a framework where they learn to respect and value each other in an environment which is happy, loving and welcoming.
Services
We have a separate room for 2 year old children. We call these children Infants. There are more group-lead activities including singing and dancing, water and sand play and a variety of toys which cover the areas of learning. We work alongside the 'Early Years Foundation Stage' framework, to support children in their earliest years.
It is now recognised how important the Pre-School years are to a child's later development. It is our aim to prepare children for their formal school life and to introduce them to the joys of mixing with other children of the same age. These are: Personal, social, and emotional development * Physical development * Communication and Language * Literacy * Mathematics * Understanding the world * Expressive arts and design.
Water, juice and milk provided to children at all times. As there are a number of brands of baby milk on the market, parents of bottle-fed babies are required to prepare the feeds for their baby. If you wish to bring your own jars of baby food, then you may do so. We also encourage children to brush their teeth, so please ensure your child has a toothbrush at Nursery.
