Welcome to Langley Mill Church of England Infant School and Nursery. My name is Miss K. Scrivens and I am very proud to be Headteacher of this wonderful school. The school was built in 1897 when it was first a Girls' School. It then became a Junior School before becoming the Infant and Nursery school that it is today.

We hope that you find our school website useful to find out about what we do at Langley Mill and all of the latest events that are happening in our school. We are a happy, friendly Church of England School for children aged three to seven years.

Long before the government became involved in providing education for everyone in our country, the Church of England had a vision that it wanted every parish to have a school for the education of poor children. By 1900, there were 5,700 state-funded schools and 14,000 schools funded by the Church of England.

At Langley Mill we are passionate about providing the children with a rich, broad and balanced curriculum across every year group. We carefully plan to provide the children a wide range of exciting, first-hand experiences and ensure we expose them to good language and quality literature across school.
