Children learn individually and with others through play. We offer our children a play- based curriculum which meets all the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. It supports all aspects of their learning and development. It encourages their in built curiosity and desire to make sense of the world around them and helps them to discover that learning is interesting and fun.

In 1994 two Mothers, both qualified and experienced Nursery Nurses decided to use their first hand experiences to establish a childcare setting which would not only offer quality care, but give emphasis to each unique child's needs, to ensure every child is supported in achieving their individual potential through the Early Years journey of Discovery.

Little Oaks Ashford nursery is a purpose built nursery on one level. The nursery is located within the grounds of the William Harvey Hospital and offers a discounted rate to employees of the East Kent Trust. We pride ourselves on our nurturing and stimulating approach to learning. We are rated Good by Ofsted, our open door policy to parents ensure partnership with parents in their childs' learning and developing.

Little Oaks Canterbury is a children's day nursery situated in the grounds of Kent and Canterbury Hospital. We provide quality child care for children aged from two months to eleven years. The nursery provides 5 spacious rooms for children aged 3 months to 5 years and all rooms contain age appropriate equipment to provide a range of learning opportunities for all age groups encouraging them to explore, investigate and learn.

Recently refurbished inside and out, large fully equipped base rooms designed specifically for the age groups which lead directly onto the garden. The open plan nursery allows for the children to interact with children in other age groups at times during the day.

Long standing, established and friendly staff team Children's transition to the local primary school are well supported and make regular visits to their new classroom before they start primary school.Write dance sessions daily to support pre-writing skills. Spacious, secure outdoor area, with soft and hard surfaces allowing all year round access.
