The first thing you notice off of the elevated tee is the bunkers that pinch a bit of the fairway at about 230 yards, the safe play is to lay up short of these which will leave a mid iron approach to a well guarded green that tilts from back to front.Par is definitely your friend on this opening hole.

Given that this is a sister course of Virginia beach national I thought it would be the same quality. It's not even close. The course runs through a subdivision, so the holes are not that special. The conditions of the course were average, the greens were really beaten with the collar having poor manicured edges and crab grass growing every where, there were mushrooms growing on the course. For the same price I would 100% recommend VB national.
