Services
At Lavender Lodge carers offer quality residential care to people living with dementia in a safe, cheerful, homely environment. All care staff within the home will be appropriately trained to deliver the highest standards of care. A continuous staff training programme is being implemented. Lavender Lodge is committed to making sure residents have a wide selection of well-cooked, nutricious and delicious meals to eat, every day, all week.
All care staff within the home will be appropriately trained to deliver the highest standards of care.

A continuous staff training programme is being implemented to ensure that these high standards are maintained in line with the latest initiatives and developments in care practices as may be laid down in appropriate legislation, and registration authority guidelines, thus ensuring competent, committed and well trained staff who understands the needs of the elderly.
Any prospective resident will be assessed before admission, by the registered manager or the senior carer in charge. At the time of assessment, any relevant information will be obtained from other health care professionals, relatives and the person involved.

We believe that service users and their representatives must have the opportunity to experience the home before deciding to move in by visiting and staying for a trial period of 4 weeks as well as having to meet them in their own homes or current location whenever possible.
Lavender Lodge is a family run residential care home which specialises in caring for elderly people with dementia care needs. We are situated in a popular area of Worthing, and we are within walking distance of the sea front. At Lavender Lodge, we pride ourselves on the friendly, relaxed and caring atmosphere of the home.
As Training is high on our list of priorities, we aim to develop staff through in house training programmers and offer the opportunity to partake in nationally recognized qualifications such as NVQs. At present, we employ 26 staff who together with their qualifications and experience provides an excellent basis for care.

The best care on all levels was given to my husband during his last weeks of life. I can't thank the staff enough for their patience and going over and above the call of duty

I’ve worked here for a year and decided that dementia care wasn’t for me, i tried working at a different home and decided that Lavender Lodge has the best atmosphere and realised that everyone who works at Lavender Lodge goes above and beyond for the residents and everyone actually forms real familial relationships with the residents which is why we aim to provide the best, and most warming care that we can for these residents, that every single member of staff refers to as their ‘second family’. I have had a family member suffer and consequently pass away from Alzheimer’s and if he had

Warm, welcoming, lovely friendly home, the home thrives on treating all residents like family members and staff go beyond their duties at times to make the residents feel welcome, at ease and most importantly safe. The manager is all about giving the residents the best possible care and you can see how much she is loved by the residents and the staff. Lavender lodge is a clean tidy, nicely decorated home, with well thought out areas such as the sensory lounge, the “wartime” area, the “quiet area”, a lovely tranquil dining room, a large bright airy lounge leading out to the garden where

Would avoid at all costs. Poor management, unreasonable requests. You will be expected to do more than you would expect in a care home, no/little training and the care is poor

I can’t speak highly enough of Lavender Lodge. Claire and her team helped us relocate my Mum following a fall and her being placed in a terrible care home by social services.
They got her mobile again, chatting, involved in games and activities and were so supportive.
Highly recommended

I was disappointed to be turned away at the door when I visited today, I was hoping to be given some sort of tour and have my questions answered. I am researching care homes for my mother who in the not too distant future will need to make a choice in this respect. I chose 2.30 pm because I wanted to avoid their busy lunchtime or tea-time but there was no-one available to talk to. I was told to try again tomorrow morning. No-one even asked for my details. Very disappointing. I have been advised by another care home to turn up unannounced for a tour and questions because then you get a true picture
