Pensions are designed to enable you to save sufficient money during your working life to provide an income stream for you to live comfortably after you have retired. There are many different 'tools' used to save for retirement and the taxation and investment elements of pensions can appear baffling.
From childhood most of us are told to put away money to save for the future - perhaps for something special? Or perhaps to be sure that when we really need something we have the funds to acquire it, without taking on debt? Whether you place your money in a piggy bank, or in a multinational investment house, our aims are broadly the same; to provide for our future needs, and to protect ourselves against unexpected causes of expenditure.
Standard Variable Rate (SVR) Mortgages- The SVR is the lenders standard rate. With a variable rate mortgage you are normally able to switch lenders at any time without being penalised. If you take out a mortgage that has a fixed, tracker or discounted rate once the set period of time ends the loan will usually revert to the Lenders SVR.
Financial products are sometimes at their most useful when they are protecting our families, our incomes or our property. Whilst insuring ourselves against an undesirable event such as sickness or even death may not be a pleasant thing to think about, the benefit of being able to set financial issues aside at emotionally difficult times cannot be overlooked.

Give that my previous broker had told me it wouldn't be possible to find a lender given my self employment I was really happy with the speed at which Northfield got things sorted, highly recommended.

Clare at Northfield Wealth has provided financial advice on my private pensions. It allowed me to retire at 50 with an annual income to do the things we would want to do in retirement. We now have investments and a financial plan in place to see us through to our later years which we review year on year with Clare. I would highly recommend Clare and the team for friendly and professional pension advice. I also recommended them to my son who took mortgage advice and found a financially better mortgage through the team.
