Steve Worsfold is a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, with 35 years of experience advising clients on how best to arrange their financial matters.
Dying without making a Will leaves a time consuming and potentially costly mess for your loved ones. If you were unable to make your own decisions regarding your finances and health, who should do that for you? For a growing age group, loss of mental capacity is a major worry. Do you want your children or others in your Will to lose their inheritance due to your home having to be sold to pay for your Long Term Care Costs?
Sussex Will Writers can prepare a range of different Wills to suit your specific needs and requirements. Having a legally binding Will in place is important to avoid the Rules of Intestacy, which would determine how your estate is to be distributed after the payment of all your debts and liabilities, testamentary expenses and funeral costs.
Financial or Welfare Lasting Powers of Attorney allow an appointed attorney control of your affairs when it is difficult for you to do so or if mentally you are unable to do so yourself. People who make Wills know that, unfortunately, they will always come into effect eventually - after all death is one of the few certainties.
Ring- fencing the proceeds of your respective assets into a Trust for the exclusive use of your named beneficiaries (ideal for second marriages-to ensure surviving spouse can stay in property and children's inheritances are protected). On first death the trust is created, placing assets into it, outside of the reach of the local authority.

Steve has written my will, and set up Lasting Power of Attorney for me, all the way through he has guided me, explaining patiently all the stages. He has time to answer any little queries, and answers phone calls and emails immediately. The whole process, will and LPA has only taken two weeks from first contacting Steve. Really so easy to to speak to and explained things in a manner that was simple to understand.
Nothing was any trouble to him. A very relaxed manner with him answered all my questions and believe me I had a lot. I didn’t know anything about wills and LPA.

application for Lasting Power of Attorney, since when, I and my family
have been grateful to Sussex Will Writers for the prompt response and
helpful easy advice for achieving our ultimate requirement.
All has been carefully tabulated with needs to do so clearly expressed.
Following submitting expenses required and necessary printed forms
completed, Sussex Will Writers is now taking over full remainder of the
objective (including stamped addressed envelope) to include registration
