Welcome to The Honey Pot Day Nursery, specialists in children's day care in Burton Joyce in Nottinghamshire. The Honey Pot Nursery was founded in 1999 by Vanessa Godber and Fiona Walker. Vanessa and Fiona are sisters and are both qualified Childcare Practitioners with many years of experience and who manage the nursery jointly.
The nursery is in the heart of the village in a semi-rural location. The nursery building has always played a key role in the village as it was once the local grocery shop and also a Doctor's surgery for 21 years before becoming The Honey Pot Day Nursery. We have a wonderful park close by and ideal countryside walks that we like to explore with the children.

Services
All of our staff are qualified Childcare Practitioners with NVQ qualifications in levels 2,3,4 and 6. As a nursery, we are always evolving and staff attend regular, relevant study days which we implement into our daily practices. As well as attending outside courses we also have an "in house" training matrix which is led by Vanessa who is trained as an Early Years Tutor.
We like to prepare our children well for school and encourage independence with a nurturing helping hand. We teach the children phonics, letters and numbers on a daily basis and how to recognise and write their own name. We liaise with local schools to help provide a smooth transition to school. Our aim is to give the children a firm foundation before starting full time education.
