Sammie Lou Bridal Couture was originally established in 2013 by Sammie and Marie who went on to succesfully run the business until 2020 when my husband and I took over. I had previously worked with the company as a seamstress providing alterations for many wedding dresses and bridesmaids outfits.
Prior to my work in the bridal industry, I had worked for many years in the entertainment industry creating costumes for major West End productions, television shows and even a Bond movie!Mark and I met while working on the West End production of My Fair Lady at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and we married a few years later.

Your first appointment usually lasts around 1 hour 30 minutes. One of our consultants will talk through your ideas and ask you about the kind of thing you like. They will then recommend gowns from the collection and you can browse the gowns in store to see if anything takes your fancy! Picking a wedding dress is a big deal, we know!

The whole experience with Sammie Lou's has been fantastic from start to finish. I bought my dress a few years ago now (changed dates multiple times due to covid). When I bought my dress I was made to feel very comfortable and really listened to about styles that I like and dislike.
I also found the perfect veil to match my dress at Sammie Lou’s which Leanne kindly ordered for me to arrive in time for my dress fitting appointments. My dress needed some alterations which were done beautifully and in good time so that I was able to collect in plenty of time before my big day.

Hello this is Teresa Cooper I would like to say what an amazing experience I had with Mark & Leanne. I will never forget my appts with you it made the build up to our wedding exciting and gave me memories to cherish always. Sammie Lou Bridal Couture was the first bridal boutique I visited and I found my dream dress. Every dress they have is beautiful and clearly chosen by experts! Marie was very friendly and made me and those with me feel so welcome the whole experience was wonderful and the celebratory glass of bubbles when I "said yes to the dress" topped it off. I'm so happy that I went there and will remember the experience for ever :)

I had seen Sammie Lou Bridal Couture showcase their beautiful dresses at a wedding fayre at my chosen venue. I just had to book an appointment with them. I was so nervous before going dress shopping. Being curvy and visiting other bridal shops made me feel rubbish however walking into Sammie Lou I instantly felt welcomed which set all my nerves aside. All the dresses just felt beautiful, something all my bridal party commented on, compared to other bridal shops. The dresses felt amazing on and I didn't feel like I was squeezing into them, they each fitted in a way I was still able to see the dress

From the first moment o walked into Sammie Lou to the moment I walked down the aisle Sammie and the team could not do enough for me! We had the VIP experience which was so lovely. They helped me pick the perfect dress, made sure it fit like a glove and even dressed me on the morning of my wedding!! Absolutely fantastic place. Took every care to make our time there individual and an experience. We weren't rushed, got offered drinks, great advice given in a non pushy manner, dresses pinned properly to show both dress and bride-to-be to their full potential and friendly chat throughout. Great atmosphere and wonderful selection of dresses. Great range of prices as well, with sales items as low as around £500 whilst still in great condition. Wish I could get married to my husband again so I could pick a dress from here!
