The company is an approved contractor to the UK and Dutch electricity distribution, transmission, and generation companies as well as major companies in the steel, oil and chemical, and process industries. Rosh Engineering is also an agent and distributor of key supplies for the high voltage and electrical power industry.

Rosh Engineering was established in 1981 using its experience from the transformer manufacturing industry and is now one of the largest privately owned and independent companies in repairing transformers in the UK.

His technical innovations and research in transformers led to changes in International Standards, particularly in thermal design. Now owned and led by Ian Dormer Rosh Engineering Ltd has grown steadily. Rosh Engineering now owns a 1,100m factory west of Newcastle just off the Main A1(M) Motorway. The factory has internal lifting capacity to 20Tonnes.
Rosh Engineering's 1000m2 factory has lifting capacity up to 20 tonnes enabling a large range of transformer in door factory refurbishments can take place.

Situated next to the AI western bypass on the banks of the River Tyne the whole of the United Kingdom can be reached within a day's travel and with easy access via north sea ferries to mainland Europe from the river Tyne and a short journey to West costs ferries to Ireland Rosh Engineering is ideally located.A full repair and refurbishment capability to complement the on-site facilities is possible.
With continual and ongoing training of our staff we are continuously ensuring the welfare of all staff, public and other site operatives anywhere we work. We employ a full time Health & Safety Manager to oversee all operations to ensure that we comply with all relevant Health & Safety requirements we come across on a daily basis.
Rosh Engineering is the UK agent for ELEQ Current Transformers based in Steenwijk, Holland and Kerpen Germany. ELEQ is the new name for the merged organizations formed out of Netherlands based Faget and Germany's KWK. ELEQ is the market leader in Holland with over 60% of the market share since formation in 1946 and has a growing international reputation.
Installation of new transformers from 11kV up to 400kV can be installed as turn-key projects or stand-alone installations. Relocation of transformers between substations or sites can also be carried out with full road movement management and refurbishment on re-location. Re-location and installation of transformers within existing facilities, including the removal of redundant plant can also be carried out as a turn-key project.
