My boiler stopped working suddenly in November 2017 and I had neither hot water nor central heating. I called around for quotes and as I was unemployed and short on money I made sure that whoever came to check my boiler would not charge anything for coming over and diagnosing the problem. Julian agreed to do this. When he came he changed the fuse and suddenly my boiler kicked in. Julian took £40 from me on the spot (no receipt was issued) despite the fact that I did not ask him to do any work. Still, I was happy to pay to have my central heating and hot water back on.
