The team at Springdene Care Homes Group have been helping families choose a care home for their loved ones for more than half a century. It is one of the few remaining independent care home groups in North London, and the company is still owned and run by the same family that established it. We know what questions you need answering and we know what fears and concerns you may have.
But above all we know how to provide the highest standards of care for older people.and to make sure that these standards are delivered in all three of our homes. On behalf of our family I cannot over express our thanks for the very highest standards of care and the cheerful attitude of everybody at Springview.

When Dr Arnold Powell started the Springdene Goup in 1970, he did so as a result of his experience as a north London GP. He says My eyes were opened as a doctor when visiting nursing homes and seeing what appalling standards there were. The homes were Dickensian and I felt that something better was not only necessary but that it was possible - and so we set about it.
We believe care homes should be just what they say they are - a home to each resident, a familiar place of comfort, of companionship and of care. We are committed to making life interesting and fulfilling for our residents, to making the most of every day. Residential care is about someone else dealing with the day to day necessities while you relax and enjoy yourself.
Choosing the right home can be a complex and worrying business, especially when for older people, the disruption of moving can be particularly distressing. Choosing a home based on location and facilities is relatively simple but deciding on whether a place feels right for you or your relative is more difficult.
The admissions process is straightforward and designed to help you make the move into one of our homes as simple and worry free as possible. Prior to offering a place we carry out an assessment of need where individual requirements are discussed. Normally this involves spending a couple of hours in the home, having a meal and meeting staff and other residents.
