He has worked as a solicitor for over 40 years and has an in-depth knowledge of many areas of law with a particular interest in crime and family proceedings. Kevin works at both our Derby and Ilkeston offices. David is experienced in both criminal and family work and also deals with Local Authority care proceedings and high profile criminal cases.
Our offices are located in both Derby City Centre and Ilkeston town centre and we specialise in many areas of law. These include family and divorce law, care proceedings, personal injury, wills and probate, residential and commercial conveyancing, criminal defence, general litigation and business law.
We understand how stressful it can be when difficulties arise in a relationship and you can be sure that your matter will be dealt with in a sympathetic and supportive way. We are able to provide advice concerning all legal aspects of relationship breakdowns, separation and divorce. We also have links with local mediators, should you wish to attempt to agree matters at mediation.
We can help and advise any family member in relation to any legal issues concerning children, not just parents. We commonly work on behalf of parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles, and extended family members.
Whether you are in the process of separating, having difficulties in seeing a child, or finding it difficult in reaching an agreement with the person caring for a child about any other important issues (such as where the child will go to school), we help.

It is important to remember that domestic abuse is not just limited to physical violence. It can be any controlling or threatening behaviour or abuse, regardless of gender or sexuality. Victims can suffer psychological, physical, sexual, financial, or emotional harm. If you think that you may have issues with abuse or unwanted harassment, please contact us for confidential advice.

I would like to say how much I appreciate all the hard work ALL the Solicitors at the Firm did in my case.
The Firm acted with extreme professionalism throughout the case.
They always ensured that we were legally informed of procedings at what was expected of us.
We were always up to date with information when a Court Hearing was taking place.

It is not a nice thing to think about, but I just wanted peace of mind my children would benefit fully, in the unlikely event anything were to happen to me. Claire was brilliant, I never had or thought about a will before I was divorced. It made me look at things in a different perspective and I knew I needed expert advise on the matter. Claire was really knowledgable and helpful and gave expert advice in guiding me through my options, allowing me to decide
