We are doing everything we can to ensure your safety when visiting our practices by following government and BVA guidelines and advice. We politely ask that masks are worn when inside our surgeries. Consultations are still available in the car park for clients who wish to be seen outside. We are welcoming clients into our waiting areas but we are still limiting the number of people we have in our waiting areas.

The reception teams will inform you whether we have space for you to wait inside. Our reception staff may ask you to return to your car and the Vet/Nurse will come out to you. If you prefer to wait in your car, please call the surgery when you arrive to let us know you are here. For prescriptions or food orders, please call to order and give our teams at least 24 hours notice.
Services
We are a caring, independent vet practice that has been well established in our local communities for over 90 years. As a trusted, local practice we take our commitment to providing outstanding patient and client care seriously - it's at the heart of every treatment and service we provide.

Our companion, equine and farm services are available around the clock, our clinical and practice support teams are here to help you with each and every query, whenever you need us.Your Wicstun team are also committed to helping you maintain your pets' good health and you have access to plenty of support clinics, preventative care planning and health monitoring.
The team at Wicstun Vets are all pet owners; between us we have everything from fish to guinea pigs, cats and dogs, chickens and birds through to horses, cattle and sheep. We understand what it's like to enjoy sharing our lives with animals and welcoming them into our daily routines. We also understand the huge variety of emotions that come with being responsible for our animals.
Here at Wicstun we have two RCVS Certificate holders and an RCVS Certificate Advanced Practitioner on the farm side of the practice. We offer a complete service to a wide range of farm clients, including dairy and beef herds, sheep flocks and pig units. Game birds are also a significant part of our work base.
We can't speak highly enough of the Wicstun Nursing Team - they provide an incredibly skilled, professional and caring service to patients and pet owners alike. Having trained for many years, they continually keep up to date with the latest techniques, theories and best practice. When your pets need our help, they couldn't be in safer or kinder hands.
Are you a smallholder looking to benefit from sharing knowledge, peer support and group medication purchases?. We would love to invite all people with a small flock of sheep, a few goats, the odd alpaca, chickens, ducks and more to benefit from becoming a member.

Membership is free and is open to all those actively registered with the practice; we aim to provide as much support as possible and celebrate the many different ways in which we welcome animals into our lives. Please note that the on-line forum will be used to discuss general healthcare and health planning.

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness
I was on holiday and my lab was taken ill and they would not see me said they were not taking in any more animals on. I ask to speak to a vet they said they would ask one to ring me back but nobody got in touch I ended driving 20 miles to another vets.
