Located in the heart of industrial Merseyside, The Engineering College was founded in 1998 to combat chronic skills shortages in the engineering, construction and manufacturing sectors. Since then, we have trained more than 10,000 students, contributing to a vibrant, sustainable regional engineering industry.

A Traineeship is a programme that offers real-life work experience and engineering theory, in order to help you pursue a career in engineering. Our Traineeship Programme acts as a natural feeder programme to apprenticeships. Traineeships can run for up to six months, and whilst on the programme, you will develop your functional skills knowledge in Maths, English and ICT, and develop an appreciation for the world of Engineering!
