Services
Younger children enjoy smaller ratios of staff to children, so their individual needs are cared for sensitively and activities are extended based upon their own interests or schemas. Staff will balance the day to ensure children have their own time to explore and time being supported by their Key Person.
Butterflies is the name of the Great Meols Nursery's pre-school group. Children are free to explore all the resources and different environments and are very much involved in planning their group projects. They receive regular quality time with teachers to 'get them ready for school', from looking after their personal independence: toileting, dressing and seeking help.
Smarties Nursery is a 'cozy, home from home' style of childcare setting. We want children feel safe and secure whilst you are out at work. Resources, furniture and activities have been influenced by the latest thinking in child development, so every child reaches their full potential.

This following quotes are just an example of some of the things our customers say about us every day! My three children have all attended and thoroughly enjoyed themselves and all talk fondly of their time there. I have no hesitation in recommending it to other parents. The staff are all friendly and know all the family.

Our children both attend Smarties one for the walking bus having previously been at the nursery/pre school and the other is in the caterpillar room. Throughout this time staff have been consistently excellent, always friendly, professional and positive. The children seem to be given lots of opportunity to learn and do lots of different activities. Most importantly for me they are very happy to clearly enjoy their time there. Parents are well informed by updates at the end of the day and information and pictures on the online journal. We are definitely very happy with the service and certainly plan

Both of our children have attended Smarties (nursery and pre-school) and we are so pleased we made the decision to send them there. The staff are caring, fun and professional, and throughout covid they have maintained their high standards and minimised disruption for the children. They post thorough regular updates (and milestone reviews) on the online learning journals and we have always got the clear sense that they care for each child as individuals.
