Services
We are very pleased to have Benn on board. He transferred from another driving school late summer 2010 because he felt dissatisfied with the service he was getting from them. With over seven years manual experience he settled into our routine very quickly and has established himself with many successful test candidates since joining our team.
How do I get a provisional license? Your local Post Office will have an application form or you can complete an on-line application at www.gov.uk. The issue of a provisional license currently costs 50.00. You are not allowed on a public road until you have received your provisional license. The holder of a foreign driving license should check with the DVLA (Driving and Vehicle Licensing Agency) for their individual status.
For new customers wanting a maximum of 2 hours driving instruction (and no more), there is a surcharge of 2.00 per hour to 37.00 per hour. The Driving School car is supplied for the Driving Test. The price of 90 includes use of car on test, pre-test practise and transport to and from test centre. This is subject to a 3-mile radius.
A regularly serviced engine (as per manufacturer's recommendation) will optimise fuel/engine performance and in the long run will save money on fuel and increase the life of the engine. Your tyres should be kept to the manufacturer's recommended pressure. Too low and extra road surface contact will create drag and the friction will reduce fuel consumption.

Would not recommend. Instructor was always late to lessons, then we only spent half of it driving, the other half was him telling me his life story. He cancelled my lessons on the day before my exam and made no effort to help find an alternative. He has not contacted me in over a month. If he wanted to drop me as a client, he could have been more professional about it. Terrible service.

I had a very good experience of learning to drive an automatic with Ditta at Hamilton. She is friendly and clear, and the lessons cover all the skills and experience you need to pass the test. You learn in a methodical and gradual way so that you feel prepared when you are ready to take the test. She keeps a sheet to record your progress so you know which areas you need to work on and is supportive and constructive in her feedback. She is also flexible and reliable when it comes to booking lessons, even during this tricky covid period -Definitely recommend!

I had a great experience with my Hamilton instructor Melanie. She was supportive, professional, and provided clear explanations and tuition, which allowed me to pass my test. Melanie was 100% flexible with me and made every lesson completely enjoyable!! Not only did she help me pass my driving test with her support, I feel I have come out of it with a friend for life, which I will be forever grateful for. THANK YOU MEL!!!

Kalp was an amazing instructor. Really top bloke, friendly, motivating and focused with teaching me how to drive from scratch. Puts you at ease and gives you confidence on the road, you can tell he really cares about you passing. Had great little tips on how to nail manoeuvres and would always accommodate lessons when I needed more or to change them. I passed - so he’s clearly great at his job. I recommended him to my partner, and would recommend to anyone else.

I have had 30+ lessons on automatic earlier this year. I felt I did not have enough progress so switched to a different instructor. My Hamilton instructor had a car from 2015 which was quite hard to drive for a new driver. She cancelled me three times within 24 hours and once 2 hours before my lesson. When I cancelled her 20 hours before my lesson she kindly reminded me about 24 hours policy. When I have asked on what about when she cancelled on me within hours she said that it does not matter because I do not lose money when she cancels. I found this so pathethic that I just decided not to carry

I was recommended Hamilton following a bad experience with a different driving school. I was put in touch with Terry, who kindly fitted me in last minute for my test. I passed my test last week (3 driving faults) Thanks to Terry's help. I firmly believe if I didn't have Terry's calming, reassuring positive approach to teaching I would have failed. During the few lessons I had with Terry he put me at ease and helped to calm my nerves especially on the day of the test. Terry's positive attitude and calming reassurance to teaching his students helped me learn lots in those few lessons than I have
