Services
If there is no availability, that date or time slot will not show. In normal times, bookings of 8 or more must be made by calling the restaurant. Due to the high number of no-shows and the devastating financial impact this has on our business, all bookings are now required to leave card details. These are secured safely by our card processing bank.
We are so enormously grateful for the support we are receiving by placing orders and buying vouchers. These all help to enable us to financially get through this dreadful time and stay strong and viable when this is all over. To expedite dispatch, we will use our best judgement if we are out of stock of an item to select a very close match as a substitute, unless you tell us otherwise.
Open since 2010, having run a stall at North West Food Festivals for two years, Lunya is Liverpool's multi-award winning deli, restaurant and bar. Lunya Liverpool is a Catalan deli, bar and restaurant in the fabulous Liverpool One, in a beautiful, fully accessible, ground floor site on the corner of Hanover Street and College Lane - delivering the best of Catalan and Spanish food across the UK and beyond.
Set over two floors, both overlooking the stunning Albert Dock, a ground floor sun terrace with seating for 30 guests and an upstairs champagne balcony overlooking the dock, it's a truly stunning venue. Our menu is a fusion of British and Spanish classics at breakfast and tapas, deli platters and paella throughout the rest of the day, with changing daily specials, and sandwiches at lunch, too.
Would you like to work for Lunya? With our continuing success, we are looking for applicants for various positions. We want people who are really lovely people, love engaging with people, bright, enthusiastic about food and drink, passionate about great service and hospitality, and talented in what they do.

Avoid.
I honestly don’t know who writes 5 star reviews for this place. Unwelcoming front of house staff, poor quality food (Yes, very poor) dogs in the restaurant, ew. Waiter just dumps side dishes and cutlery in front of me instead of doing it the proper way. Food presentation , oh no what that is? They couldn’t even bother to serve bread warm. Lunchtime menu six tapas, green tea and small glass of house wine, bill £66. I don’t mind spending for a tasty meal but this one wasn’t even worth £20. Starbucks sandwich would have been a better option.

Excellent food, excellent service and great atmosphere. The four of us ordered different dishes and all were tasty: our server's suggestion to start with two dishes each and then see if we had room for more was a good one. The estefado (braised ox cheek with mash and asparagus) was one of the nicest things I've ever eaten. A really enjoyable evening.

Lunya is a wonderful place! I enjoyed going to the one in Manchester but that sadly closed down during the pandemic.
I had the opportunity to go to the original restaurant in Liverpool and it did not disappoint! Staff were friendly and attentive, and there was a good variety of different tapas dishes in each category to choose from - a great place to go for all dietary requirements/preferences!
The portion sizes were decent too, we ordered quite a few dishes between four of us and were very satisfied at the end.
I also love the deli at the front of the restaurant, giving me the chance to bring

First time visiting Lunya and heard so many wonderful things about this restaurant. Overall I was not disappointed!
The staff were super friendly and helpful with ordering. Having lived in Spain for 6 years, the dishes were very authentic and delicious. I would say overall the menu was a little pricey especially after being recommended to order 6 dishes between two of us.
I will definitely return and would like to visit during a quieter time. Would love to try the breakfast!

The best place ever. Seriously worth a visit. This is the best tapas I have had outside of Madrid.
The food is excellent and portions are such that ordering the three tapas option for £12 is a mistake unless you are sharing. Patatas bravas, albondigas and the crispy chicken were gorgeous.
The service is fast, friendly and attentive.
The toilets are the best I have ever seen. Very high standard of finish and very clean. That coupled with being able to see the kitchen in operation speaks of a very high standard of hygiene.

Luyna is a Catalan Deli and restaurant with two branches in Liverpool and Manchester, I called in here today after being drawn in by the friendly man offering samples outside. The location of this place is really nice it is on a quieter stretch in the Liverpool One on the way up to Tesco, next to Wahaca.
The man doing the samples seemed quite friendly, he was able to recommend certain things and also had some awareness of what was gluten, he seemed kind and wanted to assure me I wouldn't be ill, as he let me "double check" there was no gluten by checking the packaging.

Had delicious 3 tapas lunch here for £12.95, great selection for vegetarians. There is an upstairs restaurant and downstairs cafe and deli shop with wide range of Spanish cheeses, meats, beers and even gin! Portions generous for tapas, unusually couldn't finish. Am quite fussy about tapas and would rate Lunya really highly.

My wife and I visited Liverpool for the first time this weekend from Los Angeles. As preparation for our trip, I had reconned the casual restaurant scene on Yelp and TripAdvisor. Lunya came up on both and had intrigued me. Spanish tapas is always in my consciousness since I started dating my wife, who grew up on the Cannery Islands. And we enjoy mixing our palette, thanks in no small part to our travels and places of residence (present and past). Variety is the spice of (our) life.
We arrived at Lunya around 8:30 this evening after attending the Liverpool game and without a reservation. We

Lunya was recommended to me by a fellow food blogger but, considering I had already eaten, we popped in for a quick drink before travelling back to Manchester. It is located just off Liverpool One near to John Lewis beauty and is a deli with cafe combined.
The deli is well stocked with some amazing Catalan finds such as olives and wine with lots of different sauces you can't typically find in this country.
The café is spacious with some really interesting spirits on the bar including London Gin and some fabulous red wines. They do wine and sherry flights at incredibly reasonable prices

We lived in the city centre for several years and Lunya has become one of my favourite restaurants. It's a great atmosphere and staff are pleasant and always friendly. There is a fantastic deli inside which provides a range of cheese and meats. One of my favourite features of the restaurant is that the head chef is often around and always chatting to customers. He gives fantastic advice and discusses the history of the menu and how many of the cured meats are formed. My only criticism of the place is occasionally they have got my order wrong, mainly I think due to some language barriers of

Perhaps it was all that in 2010 when it opened. I went because of the reviews & was dissatisfied. The smoked haddock & asparagus cakes tasted like potato without a trace of smoke or green in them. The vegetable dishes were one sided (the cheaper side) although the sautéed mushrooms were tasty, & the cauliflower was criminally over-fried.
Cheese & cured meat selections & quality were excellent. If you go get these with some wine.
Service was mediocre, our server was terrible, unable to make clear suggestion or provide attentive service - fortunately the bar staff were friendly

Lunya takes its place in the heart of Liverpool One as the only Catalonian fusion restaurant and deli. Nestled down a small lane, next door to Onisuka Tiger is where Lunya draws your attention to try out their tasteful dishes which can include a range of 3 Tapas and a portion of bread for just £10. This is an ideal lunchtime meal deal. My favourites have to be the chorizo, Spanish meatballs and spiced pork kebabs. As you can tell, I'm do shy away from vegetables! If you are a vegan, there are exactly 3 courses to choose from the tapas selection. In terms of the service and food, overall it

Despite my brother's murmerings that this is not an authentic Catalan restaurant - he spent a year out in Spain - and is merely another bastardised Spanish tapas joint in Liverpool it does not tarnish the fact that it is a good restaurant with friendly approachable staff who will do their best to inform you of what you are eating.
As with most restaurants now, Lunya has not missed a trick with offerring its food to take home through their deli section situated off to the left of the store as you walk in. They have a wide selction of imported meats, pastes, cheeses oils and all things warm

I love restaurants and delis that merge into one. Look at my track record with reviews, they all get top marks because they make me feel like totally sophisticated. Y'know, I can grab my green tea, abuse their wi-fi, then buy some bread and olives from them that I'll nibble later in front of... This Week. Not... Coronation Street. (Oh how I love Coronation Street.) Not at all.
So this combines all those things. Lunya's handily located around Liverpool One if you happen to be shopping there, and is rather popular indeed. It describes itself as Catalonian Fusion, and is still fairly

A friend recommended Lunya not long ago and the name really stuck in my mind. Now it has only been open for a few months and I was surprised as to how word of mouth has raised Lunya's profile across Liverpool. I suppose the name has a lot to do with it, simply put, it's pretty cool name isn't it, let's be fair. Just rolls off the tongue.
Obviously there is more to it than that. This is the first Catalonian fusion deli / restaurant in the UK, located in Liverpool 1. Furthermore they have chosen to convert a 19th century warehouse armed with its own wood fired brick oven.

With Lunya recently opening, it already gives off the vibe of a stylish and perfect summer restaurant.
Walking past in the mid afternoon, they often have a large table outside offering passing members of the public samples of some of the fine delicacies available from their menu and in store deli.
I sampled some of their summer cocktail, summer wine, several delicious cured meats and some wonderful pate of their own baked bread as I made my way down to Liverpool One last week.
