Established in 2005 Winter & Co. began trading, servicing an existing portfolio of marine business on the East Coast of the UK expanding into the rest of the UK and Europe. Classes of insurance outside binding authorities are arranged via a selected panel of insurers under agency agreements. A multi-sectioned policy covering loss and damage to property, financial loss, hull & machinery, marine liabilities, public/products and employers liabilities for marinas & boatyards, marine trade and marine service companies.
Privately owned vessel policy for classic sailing yachts, motor yachts, modern yachts and motor boats, houseboats and liveaboards. Cover can be extended to include skippered charter for small commercial operations including sea-angling charter and Airbnb. Winter & Co underwrite private & pleasure craft policies in-house under a full binding authority.
The choice of two historic vessel policies providing comprehensive insurance for vessels listed on the National Register of Historic Vessels whether in private, charitable or commercial ownership, static or operational. A multi-sectioned policy suitable for businesses, charities, trusts, and museums involved in the ownership, management, conservation, public display or operational use of historic vessels.
