Simcox Oliver Solicitors
Unlike many law firms, we see our clients as much more than just a number. Our personal approach means we get to know everything about you and your claim. We appreciate just how important our work is to our clients and never lose sight of the people at the heart of each case, ever conscious just how vital it is to work hard towards a positive conclusion.

It may sound like a cliche but service is everything to us and it is appreciated by our clients. Our personal approach to each case is what makes us different. The Limitation Act 1980 states that a person has three years to bring a claim for personal injury (or occupationally induced disease) from the date the cause of action accrues, i.e. the date of harm or the date of knowledge.

Noise induced hearing loss (NIHL) or occupationally induced hearing loss can have a significant impact on your daily life. Usually the first symptoms noticed by many of our clients is that they complain that people around them appear to mumble. They increasingly have difficulty hearing, holding or following a conversation in the presence of background noise.
Upper limb disorders are a particular group of musculoskeletal ailments affecting the arm and neck. Here is a list of these disorders. General inflammation of the hand causing pain and swelling usually associated with manual labour involving severe or prolonged friction or pressure on the hand. Bursitis happens when the fluid-filled sacs (bursa) that cushion your joints become inflamed.
The carpal tunnel is a narrow channel in the base side of the wrist formed by the wrist bones and a ligament. Tendons run through this channel, which move fingers and the wrist and also the median nerve which controls muscles in the thumb. CTS arises from compression of the median nerve due to swelling around the carpal tunnel and can cause tingling, numbness and pain in your hand and fingers.
Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) is the term used to describe general pain in muscles, nerves and tendons caused by repetitive movement and overuse. It can also be known as a work related upper limb disorder or a non-specific upper limb pain and mostly affects the forearms and elbows, wrists and hands and the neck and shoulder.
