Lyndhurst School was founded in 1895 and is one of only a few day preparatory schools with an unbroken history of more than 100 years. Educating the whole child is what we view as the most important aim of our school. Visit us! Please book a place on one of our Open Mornings or contact us to arrange a visit to the school and to meet the Headmaster or a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Your child will be offered a trial day or stay and play session(s) according to their age. The school will contact your child's current school/setting and complete our due diligence checks.
Little Lyndhurst incorporates Pre-Reception and Reception classes under the one roof. Our setting is thus able to deliver all your child's Foundation Stage requirements maintaining constant, close liaison between the two classes, ensuring a smooth transition into formal education. Little Lyndhurst is a friendly, vibrant and family orientated setting forming an integral part of the whole school.
Pre-Reception is a happy, warm and welcoming place. We aim to provide a sensitive learning environment that meets the needs of every child. Our plentiful outside space offers many opportunities for outside learning, exploration and play to take place. Our activities are fun, engaging, promoting confidence and independence.
