We were founded originally in 1974 by members if the local Gingerbread group for the children of one-parent families; it now welcomes all families. A voluntary committee of parents from all sections and other interested people manages the organisation. The committee are the trustees of the Organisation, the people entrusted with the overall responsibility for ensuring that all runs smoothly to the aim.
Also prior to starting we require 100 refundable (subject to terms below) Deposit Nursery 40 Out of school club. Please remember that early education funding is available for 3 & 4 year old up to 15 hours per week or stretched to cover 51 weeks of the year. Our preferred method of payment is electronic/direct payment from your bank, followed by cheque and lastly cash.
Our aim for the babies and their parent & carers is initially to help settle into their new environment, forge a bond with key-person and gradually, once child is settled and ready to explore their new environment we will provide a balanced day with a variety of activities suitable for their age and personal development.
Our aim is to provide a warm and caring environment where the children in our care feel confident in taking risks in a safe manner, build up their independence and form relationships with their peers and a key-person from within the room. Caterpillar's room has a team of 6 staff, and occasionally help from students.
