Yemi established the Kosibah brand in London in 1991 and named the company in honour of his mother. The name Cosiba comes from the Republic of Benin and is the day name of a female child born on a Sunday. Celebrated clients include Louise Rose, leading actress of Universal film Life & Lyrics, Alesha Harvey, Sheila Ferguson formerly of the Three Degrees, Hollywood actress Indra Ov, Miss World Agbani Darego, and singer Stephanie Benson.
Yemi Osunkoya and the team from Kosibah were delighted to participate at WedExpo Lagos 2012. This was Nigeria's biggest wedding exhibition and we were on hand to take consultations from future brides and those who appreciate the finer arts of couture wedding dresses. The exhibition was extensively covered in the blogosphere and traditional media.
Our signature use of corsetry and draping creates gowns that flatter and enhance every bride's figure no matter her size or shape.
