Archway Building
Archway started trading in 1980, originally as a maintenance company. Demand lead to Archway training in the specialised skill of bricklaying via John Laing Construction and in the 1990's Archway also added block paving driveways to its services after becoming associated with the founder of the Matching Brick Company in Bristol.

Expertise in hard landscaping followed which lead to walling, car parks drainage, steelworks, refurbishments, groundworks and core drilling. We have built an enviable reputation in and around Bristol for our expertise, attention to detail and allround knowledge of materials and quality work in the building sector.
Services
Typically, our team will clear the site, lay a foundation, install drainage and other pipework and we can also build roads if required. Our groundworkers are usually the first and last trades performed on a site. They will start the job putting in levels, digging the ground, excavating and concreting the foundations, and building the foundations until the floor is on and the work is up to the damp proof course.
Brickwork is masonry produced by a bricklayer, using bricks and mortar. Typically, rows of bricks - called are laid on top of one another to build up a structure such as a brick wall. The main difference between a bricklayer and a true mason is skill level: bricklaying is a part of masonry and considered to be a form of masonry, whereas stonemasonry is a specialist occupation involved in the cutting and shaping of stones and stonework.
The "shell and core" building concept involves the building owner or landlord planning and constructing the core, or inside, of a building surrounded by the exterior shell. This creates a blank canvas for a tenant to come in and outfit the space to fit their needs with flooring, equipment, furnishings and so forth.
Below are some pictures of the work we have done recently for customers and businesses in and around Bristol and the South West. It seems very quiet here now that all your men have gone, they were a pleasure to have around although I am enjoying getting straight again! We are delighted with the work.
