From planning and building regulation applications to production of construction information we strive to achieve a pragmatic, open and supportive architectural design service. We wanted a Sheffield architect, who knew our area and community - Andromeda Architecture came strongly recommended. The team helped us reimagine what was possible, offering pragmatic support and a no-fuss response to our evolving requests.
Services
Andromeda Architecture was founded by Brian Marsh in early 2000, with an ambition to offer design driven architect services, combined with technical excellence and high standards of customer care. Phil Parr, was previously International Design Manager for a major building contractor, in the UK, before joining us.
We're here to support you through the entire process of your house extension plans in Sheffield. Our services include master planning, feasibility studies, schematic design, planning permission and building regulations applications, detail design, implementation and management of projects on site. The option of virtual 3D CAD visualisations is available at all stages.
This extension and basement conversion to a formerly bland 1960's bungalow on a superb site in the Peak District National Park provides extensive additional residential accommodation which also has potential to be a self contained 'granny flat' or guest suite if required. Additionally a roof terrace adjoining the main living space takes advantage of superb views over the Hope Valley.
The redevelopment now provides 18 one bedroom, two bedroom and studio apartments to meet current residential expectations and standards of construction. A former industrial site at Kelham Island in central Sheffield, previous development on this site ranges from circa 1825 to circa 1950 with some of the 19th century buildings, including a crucible steel furnaces remaining.
This disused fire damaged Methodist Chapel was restored complying to a brief to preserve its original simplicity and to provide contemporary standards of comfort ranging from toilet facilities and including access for the disabled including 'induction loop' technology to assist those with hearing impediments.

Outstanding service from beginning to end. We were looking for a local architect that would empower us throughout the process whilst delivering great value and Andromeda Architecture came highly recommended. We love our new garden room, attic space and extension and it's totally in keeping with houses in the area.
