Each of our cottages can sleep up to 8 (maximum 6 adults). Our Luxury Lake District Cottages are a minimum of a 3-night stay, Starting from a Monday or a Friday.

Our restaurant and pub are open for guests and bookings only - so you will need to book a table to avoid disappointment for both dining and drinks. During your stay you can enjoy lunch, afternoon tea or dinner in our Inn, or we can provide a packed lunch for you to take out on a day trip!
As one of the most exclusive spa hotels in the Lake District we encourage you to take a spa day and relax in endless serenity at our spa. We are offering a condensed Spa treatment menu at our spa hotel in The Lake District to ensure the health and safety of all our guests and therapists. We will be adding more to our menu when government guideline allows us to do so safely.
Our Newby Bridge gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi and exercise classes at the Swan Hotel Health Club. The Health Club, which is a fantastic wellness retreat, includes a fully equipped air-conditioned gym, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and swimming pool, which are all now open to residents and health club members.

Myself and 9 friends paddled in open canoes to the pub on Thursday. We were happy to eat/drink outside as we had our outdoor kit on. I spoke a a very rude woman at reception who told me refreshments wouldn't be served outside. She told me to go the
bar to see if I could get served, but it was very busy so I probably wouldn't get served.
I then walked throught to the bar and asked if I could order drinks to take outside and I was told they were fully booked and he wouldn't be able to serve me. There were empty tables in the bar

Spent yesterday and stayed over last night. What a lovely time we had right from the start. Arrived an hour early and we were firstly having afternoon tea. We were greeted with smiles and it was no problem we were early. We were seated by the fire and ordered a bottle of red wine while we were waiting. The afternoon tea was yummy with a lovely choice of sandwiches and cakes. We then checked in to a beautiful room which was spotless. Our treatments at the spa were the best I have ever had and want to personally thank Jody for the amazing massage. The visit to the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi

Very pleasant 3 night stay. Food was good and accommodation clean and comfortable. Hotel is undergoing major building work on new Spa extension but were warned in advance and didn't really affect our enjoyment, although the car parking is a bit of a mess and overflow car parking in a field is not acceptable (especially as building contractors were taking up space in the main car park - surely contractors should be instructed to park in the overflow???).

Five of us had lunch here. Dogs are allowed inside the bar area, on certain tables. The outside space is attractive, with tables arranged adjacent to the lake. There's a free, spacious car park next to the hotel. The interior is quaint and designed with brightly coloured furnishings. The staff were friendly and welcoming providing a good service. We had a variety of different mains, together with soft drinks. The price per person was around £16. There is a flat walk on the other side of the car park, which runs between the steam railway and lake. We were fortunate enough to see the train go by

Fantastic place. No surprises there. Covid19 has affected things a bit, as you might suppose. Staff very helpful and friendly. One minor point I must make is that over the past 10 years, the hotel has become a victim of its own success, meaning lots and lots of visitors - it was a bit too busy for my taste. Still, it was August, and the weather was really good, so there you go.
Food amazing, rooms excellent!
