Our typical client will be turning over between 85K and 2M. They will be selling their expertise as a professional themselves, perhaps in finance, medical, recruitment, legal or creative & design industries. We tend not to get involved with construction or agricultural businesses. It's not that we don't love what they do: it's just not our thing.
We choose our clients carefully. We work with people who share our mantra of "doing the right thing, even when no-one's looking" and who value something outside of their business. That could be simple things like time with your family, exploring new places, giving back to society or just having time for long dog walks.
You hate those email footers from people who include every award, membership and swimming certificate they've ever won. Nobody cares! It just makes it harder to read emails and wastes screen space. But it does leave us with the burning question: where do we showcase our awards and professional memberships which you might be interested in before working with us.
And you know how important it is to get this right first time. But you aren't quite ready to part with hard cash for professional advice, tailored to your specific business. I know how you feel - that was me, once upon a time. Well, at least you're not basing serious decisions about your business and your tax position on what your mate on Facebook said.

Before I became self employed I spoke to Peter at Blue penguin and he explained to me the difference and gave me all the information a beginner would need... Needless to say he's done my tax return for me every year since and I could not recommend Blue Penguin highly enough to anyone who requires any sort of accountancy love in their life! 5* A++

I have been working with Peter for years and I was always very happy with his work. Peter is AMAZING, all round top guy! Hes professional but breaks things down so they are understandable to us who aren't so accountancy savvy! During Covid, he has been the lifeline for so many companies and his email updates not only are useful but make you laugh, I couldnt recommend a better accountant!

I have found their advice to be helpful and most importantly easy to understand- definitely plain English! This company is very easy to communicate with, and replies to any enquires/queries promptly. Also love the fact that they are paperless, why waste another tree for the sake of accountancy! I would recommend their services to all businesses big or small who are looking a truly personal service, that can be easily understood.
