Since the St. Davids Cross Hotel was bought by BG Betterspoons Ltd. in 2014 we have strived to achieve up to date renovations by stripping the bar back to its original features with stone walls and brick fireplaces situated at either end of the bar lounge.
In the winter of 2015 we started the undertaking of renovations in the 16 rooms we have onsite; the first step was to bring the rooms back into the 21st Century and ensure that our residents have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.We feel we have managed to achieve this through the new 32inch & 36inch TV's in the rooms, reliable Wi-Fi, new room accessories, informative room folders and general upgrades to the furniture.

Covid is still a thing and impacting staffing levels, but the hotel is doing a great job in looking after its customers. Visited here for lunch and had great sandwiches, accompanied by fries. The coffee was a bit strong for me, but that's down to personal taste. The bar area has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and the service was faultless. Free WiFi is a bonus. Definitely a good choice.

Not so good. Understaffed. Staff grumpy. Notice said wait to be seated. Told to go into pub to order. Barman told us in no uncertain terms that he couldn't serve us without a table number. Advised about the notice and the fact that we'd been told to come in without being given a table. Food mediocre. Didn't bother to have dessert and would not go there again

We checked out today after 3 lovely days ! Staff excellent, so helpful and the food and service was perfect ! Our dog was made welcome and our room was clean, the beds are wonderful, big comfy mattress and immaculate sheets.
Breakfast is so well organised with a request sheet to find out what you actually want with fantastic choice. Thanks so much everyone for making the stay so lovely ... we left a tip as they worked so hard. Food hot and excellent quality with attention to detail.
We both wish you well and would definitely return with our dog.

Visited St David's on a Saturday night with my wife and two grandchildren it was very busy and we were struggling to get in anywhere to eat went to St David's Cross Hotel and the very friendly waiter found us a table as long we vacated it by 7pm which was no problem. The food was excellent and the grandchildren thought their dessert were delicious. Many thanks to the kind waiter.

Had a lovely meal and a drink in the garden outside. Easy ordering through the online app. Drinks arrived quickly food soon after that. Fish and Chips were delicious. Lovely bit of fish in a nice crispy batter with some lovely fat chips! Plate was lovely and hot to keep the food optimal. Excellent overall.
