Services
Altex Engineering was set up in 1982 in Easton Grey, just outside Malmesbury in Wiltshire, initially to offer machining services to customers across a range of industry sectors, before it moved to bigger, more modern premises in Chippenham in 1991.
The growing demand for sheet metal fabrications in the early 1990s prompted John Jackett, proprietor and passionate entrepreneur, to invest heavily - and bravely - in new plant, new software and a highly skilled workforce, with the result that over the following three decades, with an immense amount of determination, dedication and ordinary hard work Altex Engineering has grown into one of the country's leading sub-contract manufacturers of sheet metal fabrications and CNC machining.
