Amazing roast dinner! Plentiful and super tasty! Also incredible service with really attentive staff. We were served yesterday by a blonde waitress with glasses and she was on it, friendly even though she was always busy. Thanks guys!

Lovely friendly service. Food was great. Only reason wasn't 5 stars was that it was very cold inside the restaurant on the day we visited and we had to keep our coats and hats on. Apart from that it was very good and we would definitely go back.

Based on our stay and meals over Christmas we decided to return. The welcome, service and food were all very good again. We will definitely return. My one and only criticism is the lack of a smooth entrance for wheelchairs. Every external door has a raised threshold. I do feel it would be relatively easy to ramp at least one of the on both sides of the door. I hope this is something you could consider in the future.

Very nice surroundings, staff very pleasant & helpful.
Had the 12oz rib eye steak & it was the best I have had in many years very well cooked & tender.
Rest of the 3 meals all enjoyed.

Loved the premises including our room. Staff were very pleasant, helpful and seemed eager to please. I was impressed they remembered things well. I didn't like the male staff wearing such casual dress, like they'd come to mend the photocopier. I think they should wear black tops (jeans fine) so it would look a bit more formal and like they were staff and not punters. A small point really.
Was disappointed with the standard of the scrambled eggs though. First of all I requested scrambled eggs and bacon instead of full English and when it arrived obviously only one egg had been scrambled! Rather

Gorgeous place inside and out. Reasonable amount of parking. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in one of the rooms. Very clean and tidy. Quirky. Nice big walk in shower. The bed wasn't quite a double, so we struggled a little. The courtyard was very cute. Housing plenty of tables and chairs. The restaurant was buzzing. Again, the staff are go out of their way to make your experience a great one. And we did have a great time! The menu can accommodate both foodies and fussys. Food was cooked to a great standard. We stayed here for two nights in a superior double. These rooms are attached to the hotel and have their own private garden, which was lovely to sit and read and enjoy. The staff are lovely, friendly and nothing is too much trouble! We tried the pizza cooked in the pizza oven and can highly recommend these, and indeed many other people thought so too! We had the fillet steak for dinner, medium rare, and these were heaven on a plate! Strongly recommend! Lovely big outside garden to enjoy. Would definitely stay here again!

It was a pleasant stay, a few things are really good but there is room for improvement. The staff are efficient, polite and helpful. The food was of a good quality and service very good. However, the toilets in the pub are so dark, the lighting is very poor and the decor very dark too. Also the main dining area is lovely but there is an area at the back where some guests/diners are put which has very drab decor and lighting too and you can just about see your food and the area has no atmosphere. At 10pm the bar closed and we couldn't get a drink which was annoying.The garden area is lovely. We

Turned up to my favourite place in the new forest for a meal. We turned up all welcoming and happy greeting at the door. All went further down hill after that.
This was for my Mothers Bday but forgot to put it on the booking, wasn't sure how to (this is my fault) the waiter wasn't over happy with our request to bring cake out (we provided) as there were not made aware or prepared for it.
Sunday meal is limited for Vegetarian/Vegan and for dairy intolerance, I understand this is difficult to cater for.
Ordered a pizza with vegan cheese and was very happy with that and didn't choose a second option
