Here at Lains, food and drink is at the heart of what we do. We work with Barton House Events' team of talented chefs to create completely customisable menus to suit all tastes, while our drinks partner Arkell's Brewery ensure our bar and wine cellar are always fully stocked with the finest tipples.

We had the most fantastic experience with Lains Barn. We needed to push our wedding date back 4 times as a result of Covid and the team could not have been more accommodating and helpful in what was already a stressful situation. The venue itself is absolutely stunning - inside and out - and is perfect for keeping guests within touching distance without it feeling cramped. The catering was excellent - both the main meal and the cheeky pizzas we had later on in the evening. We could not recommend Lains Barn highly enough and you cannot go wrong with getting married here.

What a fantastic venue for a wedding! We got married here in August 2021 after two prior postponements due to Covid. They could not have been more helpful or accommodating during our postponements. Martin was always at the end of the phone no matter what day or time and Rachel was extremely responsive on emails. We could not speak more highly of Nigel the day before and on the day of our wedding - he worked so hard and was so friendly. The barn is fantastic value for money and everything is so organised to ensure your wedding day runs smoothly. Our guests all commented on how beautiful the barn

A lovely venue in a quiet, rural location. The wedding we attended was very well organised. Staff were polite and helpful - there when you needed them but not overbearing and invasive. Buildings and grounds were immaculate, and the food was superb. at 40-something years old I thought I'd experienced all the highs and lows possible in terms of roast-potatoes, but I kid you not the ones served for our visit were like an order of magnitude above anything I've ever tasted before.
As a tiny bit of constructive feedback I'd suggest looking to enhance the toilet facilities when the opportunity allows

We had our wedding at Lains Barn 04.09.21 and loved the place right from our first visit! We actually loved it so much that we didn't view anywhere else to have our wedding as we knew right from meeting with the owner, Martin, that this was a venue that would accommodate our requirements as a priority and also with the risk of COVID causing any disruption and unable to get insurance, they made it clear we would never be in a situation where we were out of pocket! Which was clearly seen as we saw and heard of other weddings that had been moved due to COVID re-arranged with no negative impact! The

We finally got married last week, and absolutely loved our day at Lains Barn. This was our 4th date due to Covid postponements, and I can honestly say Lains Barn were FANTASTIC throughout - so helpful & supportive, despite the tough time they must have been going through as a venue.

What an amazing day! We booked Lains Barn before Covid and like many others our wedding plans were significantly disrupted. Amongst all of the stress of the changes in restrictions communicating and rearranging with Lains Barn was far the easiest of all. We were always given options and they could not have been more accommodating. At one point, Martin ( the owner) even offered for us to get married at his house at Barton House! The events manager, Rachel, was always on hand to respond to emails morning and night and made the process so easy.

We had to postpone our wedding by one year and the team at Lains Barn made a difficult time so much easier, being really accommodating and extremely kind. Our wedding was an amazing day and it ran so smoothly. The venue is beautiful and our guests loved it. Lots of people also said the lamb main course we had was the best lamb they'd ever had - the food is outstanding. We couldn't recommend Lains Barn and the team enough. Thank you :)
