We were established in 1977 and are the only spring manufacturers in the North East of England. From our factory in Blaydon, Tyne & Wear, we can manufacture one-offs to thousands! We use a vast range of quality materials ranging from BS5216 HS3 (commercial grade spring wire), other carbon grade wires, stainless steel grades, carbon alloys and copper alloys through to special heat resisting steels and alloys.
We have a design and development facility to assist you in the choice of spring for a particular application together with a full 24 hour breakdown facility to ensure that your processes continue to run using the most highly stressed component you use - the spring! We work internationally and we can also organise prompt deliveries to most areas in the UK.

Compression springs are open wound helical springs that exert a load or force when compressed. They may be cylindrical, conical, barrel shaped or concave in form with ends left plain or ground. Compression springs are the most popular form of spring, mainly due to ease of manufacture, thus giving economy whilst maintaining close tolerances on loads.
Extension springs are the direct opposite of compression springs in that they are close-coiled helical springs which extend under a pulling force. Again, they can be made in a variety of shapes as with compression springs with various designs of loop or hook as an attachment for the pulling force, depending on design restraints for the loop or hook.
Torsion springs are helical springs that exert a torque or rotary force and are subjected to bending stresses. Such springs are wound left or right hand so that the deflection causes the spring to wind up from the free position. Our raw wire stock ranges from 0.25mm diameter upwards, in various material types.
Presswork can be carried out to customer specifications in a wide range of materials, including the exotic alloys, eg Inconel. We can manufacture tools in-house and have a large selection of tooling which allows us to manufacture a wide range of pressings including rings, discs, brackets and washers (tab, lock and taper) along with retaining rings and circlips.
Wireforms are 2D or 3D custom shaped lengths of wire, bent and shaped as dictated by its function and are usually manufactured to the customer's specifications. Over the years, we have built up an excellent selection of tooling for wire forming which allows us to produce small or large quantities accurately.
