EC One has nearly 25 years' experience designing and handmaking jewellery in its on-site London workshop. We are very proud of our past; we made the first piece of jewellery from Fairtrade gold and are the first B Corp certified jewellery workshop in the UK. Our focus is to create beautiful jewellery to be cherished while minimising our impact on the environment.
We know you care about your jewellery; who makes it and how. So our workshop only uses recycled gold and platinum, conflict free diamonds and is always working to source ethical gemstones. Buying once and buying better means as well as creating new pieces of jewellery we also remodel loved heirlooms and repair old favourites.

Jos and Alison met at a time when Britannia was cool and Clerkenwell was a bit run down. Originally the backroom of a disused shop - E.C.One was born to bridge the gap between the high street and the gallery. A place where our designer-maker friends could show their work and people could come and have something made by hand.
We love this gorgeous stone in all it's guises: brilliant white diamonds, Salt and Pepper Diamonds, Champagne Diamonds - but always conflict free. Explore our collection of handmade engagement rings available straight from the shelf and of course if you would prefer to have something unique made we can do that too. EC One designs and creates engagement rings, wedding rings and eternity bands in it's onsite London workshop. We use recycled gold and platinum, ethically sourced gemstones and conflict free diamonds.
One we are passionate about making unique, beautifully crafted jewellery using recycled Gold and Platinum and responsibly sourced gemstones. We are a B-Corp business built around our highly skilled goldsmiths working in our onsite workshop. It is also really helpful to know if there is a special date you would like the piece for.
As well as being a sustainable way of using existing stones and metal, inherited pieces can be given a new lease of life in an updated style. All our jewellery is made by our highly skilled goldsmiths working in our workshop located at the back of our Exmouth Market store. So with that in mind, if the old piece(s) is yellow gold and you would prefer something made in white gold it's no problem.

Amazing customer service! The team is really personal and genuinely have the customers interests at heart.

I have just received my wedding and engagement rings back from EC One, both repaired, and both look fabulous.
All communication and transport of the rings was done during lockdown 3.0 - so email and royal mail. Their communication was excellent, the new jewel is just what I had in mind and I'm really pleased. I would definitely recommend them.

I visited the store to consider making a new piece of jewellery from three rings. I was widowed and I still wanted to enjoy my engagement, wedding and eternity ring but needed them to look and feel different. Jo at EC One was so sensitive and caring. She patiently worked with me (and the team behind the scenes) to create a new piece which I am thrilled with. The team at EC One are so talented. I have had many comments about my ring, now my past moves forward with me in a new sparkly way.

Excuse my hands and please pay attention to the rings themselves! I hadn't a clue about rings and never wore any until my other half proposed to me with a salt and pepper diamond engagement ring. I needed to find something quite unique in order to fit with it (and shaped around the hexagonal shape of the diamond). I researched extensively back in Ireland and across London and found very few jewellers who did grey diamonds. EC One and Jo in particular made me feel very at ease in choosing something that would match my existing engagement ring and gave me an education on all things rings! I've never

They sent me the wrong necklace by mistake. At first I expected trouble, but they were incredibly nice, sent me the correct one right away, refunded postage for the incorrect one, and refunded postage on the right one as a gesture of goodwill.
On top of that staff was exceptionally friendly, swift, and understanding.

EC One is a perfect example of a great store that just doesn't understand customer service.
My friend was having them replace a stone in her wedding ring and saw it had great reviews so I went with her and brought some vintage jewelry that needed cleaning. I got a good feel from the place and picked out countless new pieces that I would have been happy to take home with me.
When the jewelry was returned it looked gorgeous and I had a fun time catching the stones in the light. Unfortunately, the first time I wore one of my earrings, a pearl fell out. It wasn't a big deal because

Named for the postcode EC1 - home to lots of London's jewellers and diamond purveyors - this shop on Exmouth Market is something special. Clearly curated by a keen eye for quality and style, their offerings range from architectural to vintage-inspired. As well, lovers of Germany jewellery designers Niessing and Henrich & Denzel will be chuffed to know EC One carries a good selection from both.

Every girl likes a bit of bling now and again. Me, I'm no different, I love shiny things. Now let's not get crazy, I don't want to look like I should be shaking my grove thing in a rap video. I like simple pieces of jewellery. I love pieces that are unique. Basically I want something that no else has or at the very least other women will say "Wow...I like that."
