EMP was ignited in 1998 when Dan Stanton, who was studying for a PhD, was approached by a special effects company in need of a bespoke electronic solution for a feature film. Dan couldn't rest until a solution was found! The success of this project led to further unresolved ideas coming his way. The buzz of solving real electronic problems was too addictive.
Innovative design is at the heart of everything we do. We keep ourselves at the fore-front of each new wave of technology, pushing boundaries where necessary, and using electronics to make your device or process as comprehensively effective as possible. Build quality product - in-house for small, specific batches or manage manufacturing through our expert suppliers.
We've been lucky enough to work with a great spectrum of clients. Every project is different, but our approach is always collaborative, responsive & innovative. From precise technical requirements, to a very rough idea, we can work with you to rapidly invent a top quality solution. Many of our projects are confidential but some are shown below.
EMP Designs is all about design, development and bespoke solutions. TrueLED offers the fruits of this labour, as market-leading, lighting control products. Film and TV have always been key sectors for us. We work closely with leading film companies to deliver smart technology and keep up with evolving needs.
