Services
At Mighty Oaks Day Nursery & Preschool, we incorporate the ethos of Forest School teaching alongside the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage. We take the children on regular walks in the forest, where they get to explore the natural world. They can collect items they find to bring back inside where they investigate them further, use them in their learning and for craft activities.
At Mighty Oaks Day Nursery & Preschool in Bournemouth, we boast an amazing 65 acres of land for the children to explore and play within all year round; woodland areas for walks and nature trails, an abundance of open grassed areas for picnics and play and enclosed Astroturf pitches for physical exercise.
Our childcare team have been chosen for their love of children and enthusiasm for their jobs. We are a highly qualified, friendly, approachable and trustworthy team.

Our children are supervised by a carefully selected, dedicated and talented team of qualified childcare professionals who are vetted thoroughly; they all hold valid "live" Enhanced DBS Checks, valid Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene Certificates; and who we actively encourage and develop through on-going training and updates.I have an Honours degree in education and have worked in early years for over 25 years.
Having found a need to relocate our daughter from another nursery, we feel that the move to Mighty Oaks Day Nursery and Preschool is one of the best decisions we could have made for her. The team are warm, welcoming and pay a great deal of care and attention to her emotional and educational needs. Indeed, she got on so well that we enrolled her younger sister too, and they both continue to show very pleasing progress.
We have two beautiful rooms for children to play and learn in. Both rooms have specialist anti-slip flooring to help keep them safe as they explore and access to our incredible enclosed balcony play area. We set up our rooms to ensure that we cover all seven EYFS areas of learning in the Mighty Oaks room and the prime areas in our Little Acorns room.

Our daughter has been at Might Oaks for a couple of months. She absolutely loves it. It's a family run nursery, they really do work very hard to make the kids feel loved and secure. They do trips out to the local woodland. They communicate regularly with parents, and provide updates of my daughters progress.
Couldn't recommend more highly!

This nursery has been amazing! We moved area and I found this place! Best thing that has ever happened to us! At my daughters previous nursery she was very quiet and didnt want to go in the morning now I have to fight to get my daughter to sleep the day before she attend mighty oaks. They have done wonders for her confidence and she mixes with the other children!
The staff are amazing and do everything within their power to help!

My little girl was so shy and hesitant to be left without me when she first started nursery but the staff at the nursery were so lovely and supportive it made the experience much more bearable. She has now grown in confidence and loves going to pre-school and seeing all her friends and 'teachers'.
The staff are friendly, helpful and you can just tell the kids love and respect their 'teachers'.
I have no hesitation in recommending this nursery to other parents.

Both my boys have attended Chapel Gate and now Mighty Oaks over the past 4 years. It is a very well run nursery, the staff are professional, friendly and great with the kids and i have had excellent support with my younger son who has speech and language difficulties. They have great activities every day and my sons especially enjoy their outdoor adventures in the wood and grounds. I have always felt happy to drop my boys off at this nursery and would recommend to anyone considering to go and visit them and judge for yourself.

I have two children that attend this nursery and my eldest has done for the past 2.5 years. It is a fantastic place with many and exciting opportunities for my boys to explore, learn and develop their life skills. The staff are fantastic - nurturing, attentive and caring. The setting itself offers the best of early years learning, forest school opportunities and Montessori principles. I have seen it change a lot over the years and I can truly say that my boys love it here and I could not be more happier with their care and support that they receive on a daily basis. If you are considering this

We chose Mighty Oaks for our 13 month old baby due to its amazing setting, facilities and staff. The nursery has been refurbished to a really high standard and everyone is so friendly and offers my daughter the best support. In the time she has been there she has flourished and we love receiving the pictures and videos of what adventures she's been up to that day. The negative comments online are completely unfounded and left by internet trolls who have never stepped foot in the place and dont know the facts. You only have to ask a parent whose child attends now to know it is a fantastic nursery

Our Daughter has attended Mighty Oaks day nursery since September 2017. We have had nothing but wonderful experiences with all of the staff here to date. We were made to feel so welcome, not only our daughter but as parents too. We love seeing all of the exciting things our 15month old gets up to during her days here which undoubtedly involves a perfect mix of in and outdoor learning experiences.
Our daughter has a learning difficulty and has been diagnosed with williams syndrome during her time at Mighty Oaks. Every member of staff has been so supportive and encouraging during this time for all

Mighty Oaks Nursery is an amazing place that my son very much enjoys! It provides a completely safe and secure enviroment for him to explore, learn and play with friends. He loves nature so having 65 acres of playground for him to explore is better than anywhere else I could imagine. He has come a really long way since starting last year and thats all thanks to the wonderful staff who look after him and treat him as one of their own and that makes me feel very comforted to know hes in safe hands. If you are looking for a nursery which will bring out the best in your child then I definately recommend

My son who is now two has been attending since he was 8months old. The staff are fantastic and my son has flourished under their care. The new format is really exciting, with traditional approaches alongside Montessori and forest school, making the most of the extensive grounds. Management take staff training really seriously and are always looking at ways to improve the setting. The staff are professional, friendly and really want the best for their charges, they have become like a second family to us.

Our son has attended this nursery for just over 6 months now and we have nothing but praise for it in every area. We believe it’s a very safe and happy learning environment and has a very friendly and caring atmosphere from all aspects, our son only being 2 years old has settled in very well being given just the right level to challenge him educationally through play and emotionally through structured peer interaction. The nursery has a wide variety of different activities indoors and outdoors to suit all personalities. We are really looking forward to the great staff here giving him the best
