Sunflowers Day Nursery was established in 1997 and is managed and owned by Maxine Neale and Louise Johnson who collectively have over 50 years of childcare experience. Sunflowers Day Nursery provides full day care for children aged from 3 months to 5 years. We wish to support parents and other carers in the secure and stimulating upbringing of young children.

Sunflowers Day Nursery is open throughout the year from Monday to Friday. Children can enjoy excellent facilities and the warm care offered by our experienced and qualified staff team. We aim to provide an environment which will allow children to grow and develop physically, emotionally and mentally.
Services
We understand that deciding on an appropriate childcare establishment for your child is an important decision. We also understand that Parents/Carers maybe anxious about starting nursery and we are aware that this maybe the first time you have left your child.

We want all families to feel confident in the nursery before leaving your child and have in place a standard package and more settling in sessions can be added if needed, however as each child is individual we are happy to offer flexibility to met you and your child's needs.We work closely with parents/carers and we believe that continuity of care is of the utmost importance.
Providing children with lifelong skills which represent our ethos at sunflowers, and working toward the early leaning goals as part of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Sunflowers Day Nursery is a well-established nursery in the small town of Radstock in Bath and North East Somerset, the nursery has been in operation since 1997.
The nursery and it's environment are very important to the ethos of the nursery, designed with the children in mind and being aware of the importance of space. Sunflowers hope to provide a safe, bright, friendly atmosphere which is welcoming to both parents and children. The nursery is a purpose built single storey building with two main playrooms (Ladybirds and Caterpillars).
The Reggio approach is based on the principle that children must have some control over the direction of their learning. Children must be able to learn through experiences of touching, moving, listening, seeing and hearing. Children have relationships with other children and with material items in the world that children must be allowed to explore.
The DSL will ensure that guidance is considered and implemented into the daily practice of the nursery. Online safety concerns are reported to our DSL, recorded and actioned. Designated person/s for leading Safeguarding and Child Protection - Maxine Neale and Louise Johnson. Sunflowers Day Nursery has a duty to be aware that abuse does occur in our society.
