Lucy Lockets has achieved five stars out of 5 for our environmental health check and have also been awarded "Appetite for Life Award" for our healthy meals, promotion of oral health and healthy lifestyle for the past five years. Your child will receive a balanced diet, consisting of a hot meal at lunchtime, and also break time snacks.

Louise Graham, Nursery Manager, is a qualified NNEB and holds a degree in Early Years Leadership and Management, she also holds the role of Early Years Professional within the setting and is a parent herself. Lisa Frith, Administration Manager, has worked in the local Health Authority for 14 years, she has 13 years experience in childcare and is also a parent.

Your Child's first and subsequent days at nursery may well be their first introduction to their learning and development in a new environment. Parents are advised that a preparatory visit should be made to familiarise the child with the new surroundings before a session of care is provided.

To ensure the smooth transition, parents are encouraged to take advantage of our qualified staffs experience and feel happy to leave their child during the settling in period.

Our aim is that our children learn through play as this is the most natural and appropriate form of learning for young children. At Lucy Lockets, children attending are encouraged and nurtured to attain their maximum potential within their own individual capabilities. Each child is treated as an individual, with their needs and interests assisted to progress at their own rate.

This room is designed specifically for all the babies we have from the ages of birth to 24 months old. It is very important that the care you have given to your child is reciprocated at nursery. Ensuring that your child's individual routine is continued and that we work together to allow a smooth beginning to nursery life.
