In 1986 'Business Forms Services' was established in Reading, Berkshire by John Hope. BFS began selling Rollin self-adhesive printing blankets to business forms and envelope printers and quickly gained stature within the print industry allowing the company to expand its product range, hire new staff and move to larger premises.

A customer was having issues with the life of its blankets and underblankets whenever there was a smash while printing with board. Each time there was a smash, both blankets and underblankets needed to be replaced. BFS recommended Finito as the optimal compression and rebound properties of the packings would improve smash resistance and reduce the need for changing the blankets as frequently.
