On your first lesson your instructor will be taking you to a quiet location showing and explaining to you the controls of the car and how they work. All this will be done before you do main road driving. The DSA advises students take a minimum of 45 hours worth of professional tuition combined with at least 22 hours of private practice.

Just did my 2 hours lesson with Asif. He is a very patient and friendly instructor. He gave me lots of tips that will help me with my tests. I already had about 40 lessons before I decided to switch to First Drive. I wish I started with them from day 1.
The company seems to be very organized as well. Highly recommended!

After calling on 2 separate occasions both times giving my details i received no response from this company. this company wasted 2 weeks of mine and when I called a third time and asked wether there was any instructors near my local area the receptionist said 'if you had no response then probably not'.
Surely if this was the case them I should've been informed earlier? There are many other better companies to choose from. I wouldn't recommend this company to ANYONE.

My ‘learning how to drive’ experience with First Drive has been honestly, the most enjoyable yet valuable experience ever. I came to know about First Drive through Groupon and SUHAIL AHMAD was allocated to me as an instructor.
I have to say he is very brilliant. He was always calm even when I make mistakes that would normally make other instructors mad. I guess its always best to learn from a young instructor who you feel comfortable with. Suhail made me feel very relaxed and comfortable and that's perhaps why I passed my test first time and I didn't even need to take that many lessons.
I would highly recommend him especially if you are someone who doesn't like to be yelled at.

When I transferred to first drive, I wasn't a confident driver. However, my instructor Suhail soon changed that and I passed my test yesterday, (first time). He's reliable, extremely supportive and has the best teaching methods I've seen. He thoroughly explains each and every manoeuvre, making them a piece of cake to perform. And to top it all off, he's funny and teaches you in a 13plate car!

First Drive Group - in particular my instructor Suhail Ahmed - achieved the impossible! After two years of driving lessons (and 4 driving instructors and driving schools) and failing twice, I went to FDG and finally passed. Suhail was great - really pleasant, relaxing, very committed and an excellent teacher. It was a very welcome eye-opener to the fact that learning to drive can be fun and easy with the right instructor. He was always on time and spent all the time focused on making the most of every hour of lessons. Thanks!
