Welcome, here at Melvin's Automatic Driving Lessons we use only fully qualified, DVSA Approved Driving Instructors who specialise in teaching automatic driving lessons in Sheffield and the surrounding areas. Services
A manual car has gears and a clutch pedal. In an automatic car there is no clutch pedal and the automatic gearbox 'automatically' changes gears for you. This means much of the physical work is taken away, leaving you with both hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road. This enables you to concentrate on more important things like steering and planning ahead, making you safer, especially in busy traffic or long journeys.

I've wanted to drive since I was a kid and when I turned 17 it was finally possible, so I called Melvin's Driving School after a friend passed with them he gave me their number.
The theory test has two parts. The first part consists of 50 multiple-choice questions, chosen at random from a bank of over 1,000. You are given 57 minutes and you must answer at least 43 of the 50 questions correctly. Some of the questions will be part of a case study. This will take the form of a short story or scenario, on which 5 multiple choice questions will be based.
Throughout the test your examiner will be looking for an overall safe standard of driving, including when you are carrying out the set exercises. The driving part of your test will last about 40 minutes during which you will be examined on your general driving and ability to reverse your vehicle safely.
