Archibald Shaw was founded in 1960 when Cambridge graduate and the company's namesake, Archibald Shaw began his own practice. Under the watchful eye of Archibald, or Archie as he was affectionately known, the company grew and so did the Archibald Shaw team.

With a wealth of experience behind us, the Archibald Shaw team have built an impressive portfolio of experience across a variety of civil and structural engineering disciplines. From hotel pool designs through to designing one of the most iconic roofs in central London, Canary Wharf, we have been lucky enough to work on some very exciting projects during our 50 years as a practice.
Neil has gained a wide range of experience in structural engineering whilst working for Consultant Civil and Structural Engineering practices in the UK. His experience varies from preparing general arrangement and detailed drawings at the start of his career, progressing to the design of structures and undertaking surveys of both domestic and commercial buildings.
Archibald Shaw are a passionate team of individuals, each with their own area of expertise. We expect team members to bring their enthusiasm and enjoyment of engineering to the table to ensure all projects are completed to the highest degree of professionalism. We have positions at both our Chichester and Newbury offices for Chartered Civil and Structural Engineers and Technicians.
