I highly recommend Thornley Groves to anyone currently going through the stressful moving process! I was seen to by the Thornley Groves Southern Gateway Office, in particular by Sophie, she was lovely and highly professional. Sophie sold the property to me very quickly and answered all my questions, in addition to reassuring me with any of my concerns. All paper work was sent to me and queries were answered very quickly! To say I found and signed for somewhere in less than a week is incredible!

The decision to change agents from X1 Management/X1 Management to Thornley Groves (lettings & management services) was initially difficult. That is, I am based in Newcastle upon Tyne without an understanding of the performance of Manchester Estate Agents. However, my wife and I initially spoke to Chris Willey and we knew straight away that we were dealing with someone who exhibited a higher degree of professionalism than we were used to.
Our experience with the Thornley Groves staff that we have dealt with so far has mirrored this enhanced attitude and service

Thornley groves are really impressed me since I could find a great property for me and my family to live in Manchester in an easy way. Sophie Stephenson is a great staff and very responsive. Finding accommodation for overseas students with family like me is quite challenging process. However Thornley Groves and Sophie is really helpfull and I find it easy to find a great property to rent in Manchester with the assistance of them.

I have just finished dealing with Samantha at Thornley Groves who dealt with the process of letting a building in Manchester city centre. From start to finish, i had such an amazing experience dealing with her and Matthew. They came round to the building countless times to help with the design aspect and offered sound advice throughout. Full credit also goes to Justin and the rest of the team who have filled up the building in no time. Always available, always helping and always with a smile!! No need to look further for a letting agent who is there for you!

Brief and pretty tragic experience with Thornley Groves. Booked a viewing on one of their properties in the city centre. Took 2 hours out of my working day to drive into the city and get to the viewing. Arrived at the property 5 minutes before viewing and no-one in sight. Waited for 30 minutes at the property while attempting to call 4 different people from the business including the main office landline - not one person picked up and no-one arrived at the property. 7 hours later and still had no reply or semblance of an apology from them after leaving message on answering machine. Extremely unprofessional

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! It has been one thing after the other with regards to broken things in the flat and Thornley Groves have made little to no effort to get the right contractors to come in and fix anything. We have had a broken fridge and freezer for 2 weeks now and there has been absolutely no sense of urgency for them to come and fix it, despite us literally having to chuck away £70 worth of food. Their website where you report any issues is a complete waste of time because no one seems to check it. All in all, terrible company.
UPDATE: WE HAVE HAD A BROKEN FRIDGE/FREEZER FOR A MONTH

They really doing a great job for helping tenant finding suitable property. However, they'll do the best to charge you deep cleaning fees when you left. Especially when checked out of the property, the property is not clean at the professional level during check in but charge tenant £174 cleaning fees for a 1 bed apartment when check out. Even though everything was clean and meet the check in condition.

We used Thornley Groves when looking for our first flat and their service was excellent in helping us find a place. They made the effort to make us aware of properties as they were coming on the market so we had a good chance of securing it as well as got us a viewing of the property quickly so we could decide on whether to proceed. Very hassle-free experience of being a landlord for the first time with Thornley Groves Manchester. Samantha, Eve and Gabrielle were all really helpful and helped me massively throughout the process. They were all given different roles throughout the process and were always professional, well informed and giving excellent service. Would certainly recommend and use again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Samantha and her team are great -- they manage two properties for us, one which they recently re-let within hours and a second new property which was let within a day.
They're a very modern and progressive outfit using good systems and tools with digital signatures etc. which makes life easy for us and our tenants. Payments are quick, statements are clear and their pricing is competitive.
