Julie Twist Properties
Our team has a vast knowledge of Manchester City Centre and Salford Quays. All our staff members take pride in everything they do and customer service is at the heart of our ethos, recently proved at the Best Estate Agency awards where we achieved recognition for being in the top 3% of outstanding agents as exceptional both in our sales and lettings departments, out of 1000s of agents that's some achievement.

We have specialist offices in three of the most attractive areas in Manchester being Ancoats M4, Deansgate M3 and Salford Quays M50. This can only make it easier for you to access our services and communication whether you are buying, renting, selling, letting or looking for some help from our maintenance team.
Services
Julie Twist Properties was established in 1994 when Manchester was still trying to get its name on the map. At the time, there was only a handful of developments and around 600 residents but Julie had a great passion and saw the potential for what the city could become. Julie worked alongside the Central Manchester Development Corporation for the first few years with the same goal, 'to bring life back into Manchester and make it a 24-hour city'.
At this time Julie Twist Properties was the only Estate Agent on Manchester for the next three years. Urban Splash was the first developer to approach Julie and they worked on Sally's Yard together. The Trafford Centre opened its doors and is the third largest shopping centre in the United Kingdom.
Buying a property can be a daunting experience, below is a step by step guide to help you with the buying process of a property. The first thing you need to know when buying a property is how much you can afford up to, the best way to do this is to book an appointment with our mortgage advisor. Please contact us to book in an appointment.
The most important part of sales progression is good contact between the buyer, the seller and the solicitors, as well as other parties such as mortgage brokers and surveyors. Statistically, some of the main reasons for sales falling through are breakdowns in communication and a lack of understanding of the sales process; that is why it is important that we are here for you to make sure the sale runs smoothly.
Deciding to rent a property, is much like deciding to buy a property, it can be exciting and daunting in equal measures. We have put together a list of commonly asked questions which will help you from the start of your property search, right through to the end of your tenancy. Set yourself a realistic monthly budget and make sure you include council tax and bills in addition to your rent.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness
Paul of Julie Twist's sales team had been absolutely amazing during the whole conveyancing process by being efficient, professional and responsive. That definitely helped speed up the process. Great services!

They entered in my flat without calling or sending any text before, once using keys. Ignored every lack of the house, broken windows, broken doorbell, broken ventilation. they reclaim the billing account once i left the flat and ignored me when i asked for the last meter reading. Really an unbelieably bad service.

I recently rented an apartment through Julie Twist. I will say that the initial experience of finding the property and documentation was handled quite well by Sian however it has been severe disappointment since. I moved into the property on the 21st of July, and nearly 2 months on, my bedroom still does not have a door handle (which is a privacy issue and frankly very poor form), half the lights don't work, the chair in the balcony is still broken and various other jobs haven't been sorted, all of which were highlighted even in the inventory report, prior to my move. What's worse is, I stayed

Because yesterday you treated us like dump, today we had to walk in all letting agencies in Manchester to avoid to be homeless after you change your mind, letting us know in the late afternoon, one day before our moving, that you regreted and are no longer in the position of renting us a property (of course after all the referencing done and approved as you stated "all is now accepted" ). I don't know what happened but perhaps it was the same old I have been reading about you: "miscommunication with landlords and duplicated tenants for the same flat". Because we had to do that journey today, because

A very unpleasant experience! I have called this agency regarding a property for rent that was listed only 4 days ago, on a Saturday. I immediately was told off by the agent (Mr. Phil bernado) saying that 4 offers (only) have been presented to the land lord and he is no longer taking offers although the property is only available after a month! I did politely remind him that since there is alot time left and hence a decision has not been made or contract signed, I would like to view it ASAP and make an offer that will match the asking price, he had the audacity to tell me that he will then book

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value
Spoke to a guy called Phill Birnado who was probably the rudest and least professional letting agent I have spoken to. When mentioned we are from a different country the disregard and disrespect was unreal. Do not waste your time with these guys whether your letting or wanting to advertise your property. Absolutely filthy manners.

An absolute joke of an estate agents. I moved into my flat in the centre of Manchester on the 26th of July and there are so many problems with it -
Aircon doesn't work and all windows are sealed closed as it’s a bottom floor flat we are in the middle of a heatwave it’s unbearable. The lack of any fresh or cool air is causing my clothes to smell of damp once they have been hung up to dry.
BLOOD stain on mattress
Moths in wardrobes, still living out of suitcases a month in
Rust in microwave
Dishwasher broke
Toilet faulty
All door handles falling off
Faulty plug socket in kitchen.

There were a few important amendments that were required after moving in to the new property which Kelly quickly sorted and got done for me which I really appreciate that it wasn't ignored or left with dragged feet. Quick communication and the maintenance man Tony who was sent to do the jobs was a friendly, hardworking guy who did a fantastic job and is a credit to his team. Thank you all for staying on top of these jobs unlike many other letting agents.

Beyond terrible customer service. I booked a viewing and received both SMS and email confirmation.
I waited at the property at the arranged time but no one arrived. After 10 minutes I called and was told that they didn't have any record of my information but it would be passed on to the rentals team and they would call me back.
After 50 minutes I still hadn't received a call so I called again and once again I was told they didn't have my details and was I sure I was calling the right place! I said I had two confirmations. The agent apologised but couldn't fit me in today.
I asked about waiting

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Dave from the maintenance team for all his hard work over the last three days. I had a quote from JT Properties to remove and replace flooring in my living room, hallway and utility room. Absolutely amazing service and professionalism. Cheaper too. So glad that I made the choice and I am already lining more work up for them!

Today, I was crossing the road in Princess Street on a pedestrian crosswalk when a car from JT Agency ran into me whilst I beeping loudly for me to move. I was carrying heavy bags and had to quickly run away from the car even though I had priority. The street was empty and there was no need for the angry driver to scare me in that way - specially since it was stationary right before it decided to accelerate towards me.

I am looking to rent a property in the city centre and luckily for me I can avoid Julie Twist from now on and save myself from dealing with agents that behave in such an unprofessional

Extremely unprofessional. Booked 3 viewings and didn't get to see one of the properties. Rang up to confirm each viewing and was told to meet at the property, no one showed up: " There seems to have been a misunderstanding" same answer everytime I rang up.

My friend then managed to book a viewing and I went along. The Julie Twist guy at the property didn't even ask our names and let us in. We could have just been anyone. I would not trust or use this estate agent. Too incompetent for words.

Fur coat and no knickers!!

Today I decided to speak to some estate agents about getting a valuation on my apartment and find out the rates of commission they are charging in the tough economic climate.

I went into JT new posh office on Deansgate for my first call; this is how it went from my point of view.

I looked in the window and then entered through the doors, it is dead, dead in the fact is has no warmth, energy, atmosphere and feels anything but welcoming.

Several empty desks faced me, one with a lady sat at it, with a sign saying lettings, as I was not letting I looked to the right,

I rent my flat from Julie Twist, and I must say we've had no problems at all. When looking for a place they showed us round several lovely apartments, and seemed to have much more than did most of the estate agents on Deansgate we visited. They also didn't try and show us places that we'd already told them we couldn't afford or didn't like the location, unlike many others.

I think as they're just an agent, they have to get permission from the individual landlord of each property before they can do anything with regards to maintenance (this happened recently with
