Services
We're one of the UK's leading fully automated structural steelwork contractors and arguably a world leader in 'Just in Time' manufacture. Our plant is based in the midlands, near Nottingham and operates nation-wide with directly employed erection and design teams offering a one-stop solution to most steel construction needs.
We employ 250 people and our budgeted annual turnover is 85m, supplying 40,000te of steelwork. We can manage projects of virtually any size with a steel content ranging from 500 tonnes. Our fully integrated computer aided design and computer aided manufacture systems are second to none. We received the coveted Nottinghamshire Company of the Year Award - sponsored by Nottinghamshire County Council, KPMG and RBS.
In fact, over two thirds of our projects are design and build, and we have an impressive presence of experienced structural engineers, most of whom are Graduates or Chartered. We have consistently striven to maintain our position as the leading exponent in 3-D modelling - as employed by the structural steelwork industry.
Caunton Engineering were pleased to have worked for main contractor Willmott Dixon on the important new City of Lincoln Transport Hub. This 30m scheme is a significant regeneration project that will transform the city centre of Lincoln - providing a state-of-the-art bus station, retail space, a new pedestrian plaza and a one thousand space multi-storey car park.
Distribution centres don't come much larger than the colossal shed framed with Caunton Engineering's structural steelwork for online retailer Amazon, at the Mountpark Bardon site near Coalville, Leicestershire. Known as unit one, and the first of three new centres to be built on the site, the structure measures 504m in length and has a width of 184m, offering just over one million square feet o.
