Pupil premium funding is received for children who have been eligible for free school meals at any time over the past 6 years. Between 60 and 70 % of the children who attend Brook Acre are eligible for this funding. Funding is also received for children who have become a child in care of the Local Authority.
The government is providing additional funding of 150 million each year for 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17 to improve provision of physical education and sport in primary schools. The funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport, and will see money going directly to primary school headteachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and Physical Education for all their children.
Admission authorities are required to consult if they intend to make changes to their admission arrangements. This school is not good at all, they are failing according to the national reports. They have a very high number of children in care and dealings with social services, which is not good. The head teacher and several staff will cover up for extreme poor practice. Parents should really watch out for the staff are not all what they seem. Nothing but trouble. The Safeguarding manager, Head teacher, and Various other staff are "feeders" into the social services system...just be careful of this school.
