Sankey Valley St James Church Of England Primary School
We are a happy, friendly and aspirational Church School, who place an emphasis on high standards of behaviour and achievement. All staff work extremely hard to encourage the children in their care to strive to do their best in a supportive and caring environment. We hope you will find our website both informative and helpful.

We are continuing to add information; if there is anything specific you would like including or you cannot find what you are looking for please contact us. Over the week children will take part in many different activities and have a chance to spend time with their new teacher on one day. Each day has a theme and children can dress up if they wish to on any day but this is not compulsory.
Services
At Sankey Valley St James' Primary School, we are committed to safeguarding our children to ensure that they are safe from harm and can thrive to live happy, safe, healthy and fulfilling lives. We work hard to ensure that time is given to anybody from our school community who wishes to share a concern or seek advice.
Early Help refers to the offer of any information, advice or support to children, young people and their families as soon as possible in their lives or when issues emerge to help prevent problems from escalating. An Early Help assessment is where we meet with you to discuss what help you need as well as talking about what is working well in your life.
At Sankey Valley St James we embrace and celebrate diversity. We recognise every individual at school and provide opportunities for all. In accordance with our Equality Policy we are committed to providing a school where we do not tolerate any form of bullying, intimidation or discrimination. We have clear guidelines in place for dealing with such incidents.
At Sankey Valley St James Primary School we endeavour to create a motivating learning environment, where every child can prosper and achieve. We have high ambitions for our all children and believe that each child should be given the opportunity to reach their full potential regardless of their background.
Schools are responsible for a significant amount of public expenditure. Every year our financial data are published, and are viewable by schools, and members of the public, on a national website.
