After being in Coggeshall for nearly 6 years, we found that we had outgrown our lovely little boutique. Well, we then spotted that the AGA shop at 41 London Road, Lexden, Colchester had closed down so, we thought this would make a perfect new home for Fairytale Bride! It took us over 9 weeks to totally transform the interior and recreate our beautiful new bridal boutique.

We offer a 90 minute FREE private consultation to every bride who books an appointment with us with the whole boutique to themselves along with our personal service. Whilst you may want to bring along many of your closest friends and family members, it can also easily make dress shopping more difficult.

The best experience a girl could ask for!
As a plus size bride I was very worried about trying on dresses. On walking in my fears was quickly dissolved, both ladies greeted us like we was friends. I was shown dresses that was in similar size to me. Therefore no embarrassment of trying on a dress in size 6 when I’m nowhere near the size. My group and I was the only ones in the store! We was given time to discuss options with each dress and when we found the one everyone celebrated. The dress arrived within good timescales and was perfect!

Visited Fairytale Bride during the middle of the pandemic, and Charlotte and Alison couldn't have been more helpful, despite having a long list of new rules they had to follow!
I would never have found my dream dress without them. They picked out something I turned my nose up at first, until I got it on and realised it was the one. They even nicknamed the dress "The Megan" after we changed the skirt to be slightly different than the original styling on the dress.
They were so helpful and have kept in contact throughout, even since my wedding day finished and it's nice to feel as though they genuinely

I visited fairytale bride last July. I hadn’t been enjoying the whole wedding dress shopping process but Alison and Charlotte really put me at ease. They listened to what I wanted and pulled out some beautiful dresses for me, they continued to do so until they found my perfect dress. When I worried about my dress later on in the year I was able to call them and be reassured which helped so much. Thank you so much for a brilliant service and my dream wedding dress.

Me and three family members felt so relaxed throughout the process, it was an amazing experience that I will never forget.
Finding my dress was just how I hoped it would be, stress free!
Not only were the team at Fairytale Bride great whilst searching for my dress, even in the difficult guidelines of the Covid Pandemic my dress was hand delivered to my door (socially distanced of course) which was more then I could have asked for.
Service with a smile doesn't do this mother daughter duo justice, they truly celebrate

Alison & Charlotte made me and my bridesmaids feel so welcome in their shop. We had music and drinks and a really lovely chilled what seemed like all day trying on dresses. I remember walking towards their huge mirror and just crying as I found the dress for me. Unfortunately due to lock down I was unable to go back and collect my dress however it was sent to me free of charge. Just a lovely genuine bridal boutique.

I had a taster appointment last week and straight away I was made to feel comfortable. The ladies are so lovely and quite clearly extremely passionate about the work they do and every dress within their store. As a new mum I was very worried about my size and body shape having no clue what would suit me and feeling like I'd look rubbish in everything. They instantly made me feel great and put me in dresses that complimented my figure perfectly. I haven't purchased my dress yet but I am certain that I will be going back for another appointment. Amazing service and truly lovely ladies!

My experience with Fairytale Bride was so special. The girls didn’t let covid get in the way of making it an exciting part of the build up to my wedding day. I was lucky enough to see both their previous location and their new and you can just appreciate how much work has gone into the place. I visited last year to choose my dress. They have the most beautiful selection of dresses. I walked in & explained what I wanted & they pulled off the rail my perfect dress. Alison & Charlotte couldn’t have been more helpful & patient. I tried on a tonne of dresses & ended up going back to the first one picked of the rail for me. They made the whole experience so personal too, a little welcome sign & some flapjacks. We felt so at ease & had such a fun time. I will never forget the experience & I thank them for making it so perfect.
